Bayesian Inference for Contemporary Lattice Quantum Field Theory
Bayesian inference provides a rigorous framework to encapsulate our knowledge and uncertainty regarding various physical quantities in a well-defined and self-contained manner. Utilising modern tools, such Bayesian models can be constructed with a remarkable flexibility, leaving us totally free to carefully choose which assumption should be strictly ...

We report electrochemical quantum capacitance spectroscopy as an ambient, in situ probe for defect‐mediated electronic structure at 2D material interfaces. Using monolayer MoS2, the method resolves band edges and vacancy states, tracks sulfur‐vacancy evolution during hydrogen evolution, and links interfacial density‐of‐states changes to nearly ...

Mechanical Stress Evolution in Polycrystalline Ge Thin Films Under MeV Ion Irradiation
Irradiation of polycrystalline Ge thin films with 1.8 MeV Au ions alters residual stress through defect generation and lattice expansion. Increasing fluence drives progressive lattice disorder and eventual amorphization. Polycrystalline Ge resists amorphization longer than crystalline Ge, as grain boundaries facilitate defect diffusion, significantly ...

From Classical to Quantum: New Canonical Tools for the Dynamics of Gravity
In a gravitational context, canonical methods offer an intuitive picture of the dynamics and simplify an identification of the degrees of freedom. Nevertheless, extracting dynamical information from background independent approaches to quantum gravity is

Layered Nanoporous Platforms for SERS Sensing
Here, we present a detailed investigation of the SERS performance of layered nanoporous metals. The controlled deposition of well‐defined, stacked porous layers enabled a systematic analysis of the effects of multimetallic systems in SERS experiments. Numerical models are also used to support the experimental findings.

A Survey of Interlayer Interaction Models for Graphene and Other 2D Materials
Van der Waals interactions arising from electronic polarization at atomically close interfaces generate corrugated interlayer energy landscapes that govern normal and tangential tractions. This review presents an overview of quantum, atomistic, analytical, and continuum modeling approaches, highlighting their roles across length scales in capturing ...
