In signal processing, resampling algorithms can modify the number of resources encoding a collection of data points. Downsampling reduces the cost of storage and communication, while upsampling interpolates new data from limited one, e.g., when resizing ...

Assessing the feasibility of quantum learning algorithms for noisy linear problems
Quantum algorithms for solving noisy linear problems are reexamined, under the same assumptions taken from the existing literature. The findings of this work include on the one hand extended applicability of the quantum Fourier transform to the ring ...

A Faster Quantum Fourier Transform
We present an asymptotically improved algorithm for implementing the Quantum Fourier Transform (QFT) in both the exact and approximate settings. Historically, the approximate QFT has been implemented in $\Theta(n \log n)$ gates, and the exact in $\Theta(n^2)$ gates. In this work, we show that these costs can be reduced by leveraging a novel formulation
