Minimization of Quantum Circuits using Quantum Operator Forms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper we present a method for minimizing reversible quantum circuits using the Quantum Operator Form (QOF); a new representation of quantum circuit and of quantum-realized reversible circuits based on the CNOT, CV and CV$^\dagger$ quantum gates ...

Making Photoresponsive Metal–Organic Frameworks an Effective Class of Heterogeneous Photocatalyst

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes photoresponsive MOFs for photocatalytic applications, focusing on their capacity to enhance light harvesting, charge transfer, and surface reactions. While existing studies provide foundational insights, emerging characterization techniques enable a deeper understanding of photoresponsive MOFs.

Geometric quantum gates robust against stochastic control errors

open access: yes, 2004
We analyze a scheme for quantum computation where quantum gates can be continuously changed from standard dynamic gates to purely geometric ones.

Group theory for quantum gates and quantum coherence [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical, 2008
Finite group extensions offer a natural language to quantum computing. In a nutshell, one roughly describes the action of a quantum computer as consisting of two finite groups of gates: error gates from the general Pauli group P and stabilizing gates within an extension group C.

Inter‐Layer Diffusion of Excitations in 2D Perovskites Revealed by Photoluminescence Reabsorption

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Inter‐layer diffusion of photoexcitations is monitored in thin films of the 2D perovskite (PEA)2PbI4 by tracking time‐dependent changes in photoluminescence spectra induced by photon reabsorption effects. A low out‐of‐plane excitation diffusion coefficient of 0.26 × 10−4 cm2 s−1 is determined through 1D diffusion modeling.

Tin‐Based 2D/3D Perovskite Vertical Heterojunction for High‐Performance Synaptic Phototransistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Phototransistors based on tin‐based 2D/3D perovskite heterostructures show an ultrahigh responsivity and detectivity at a low gate voltage across a broad wavelength region from ultraviolet to near‐infrared. The devices can replicate neuromorphic learning and remembering behaviors to light stimuli, in addition to electric depression and memory erasure ...

Quantum-state preparation with universal gate decompositions

open access: yes, 2011
In quantum computation every unitary operation can be decomposed into quantum circuits-a series of single-qubit rotations and a single type entangling two-qubit gates, such as controlled-NOT (CNOT) gates.

The Quantum Cyclic Rotation Gate [PDF]

open access: yesSN Computer Science
AbstractA circular shift operator (or cyclic rotation gate) $${{\,\mathrm{\texttt {ROT}}\,}}_k$$ ROT k applies a rightward (or leftward) shift to an input register of n ...

Scaling‐Up of Structural Superlubricity: Challenges and Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
At increasing length‐scales, structural superlubricity (SSL) faces challenges from physical and chemical energy dissipation pathways. This study reviews recent experimental and theoretical progress on these challenges facing the scaling‐up of SSL, as well as perspectives on future directions for realizing and manipulating macroscale superlubricity ...

Noncommutative tori and universal sets of non-binary quantum gates

open access: yes, 2002
A problem of universality in simulation of evolution of quantum system and in theory of quantum computations is related with the possibility of expression or approximation of arbitrary unitary transformation by composition of specific unitary ...
