Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Quantum corrections to the AdS bulk from a semiclassical description of D-branes

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
We investigate the emergence of spacetime geometry within the AdS/CFT correspondence by explicitly incorporating quantum coherence effects arising from finite coherent superpositions of closed-string modes forming mesoscopic quantum D-branes.

Towards a Quantum Erlangen Program

open access: yesUniverse
The classical Erlangen Program sought to classify metric spaces entirely in terms of their symmetries. In physical spacetimes, these symmetries define transformations between classical reference frames, yielding a one-to-one correspondence between frame ...

Strain‐Programmable Luminescent Adhesive Patch With Tartrazine‐Mediated Optical Skin Clearing for Photochemical Tissue Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Position Operators in Terms of Converging Finite-Dimensional Matrices and Their Intertwining with Geometry, Transport, and Gauge

open access: yesQuantum Reports
The position operator r^ appears as i∂p in wave mechanics, while its matrix form (e.g., under a Bloch basis) is well known diverging in diagonals, causing difficulties in basis transformation, observable yielding, etc.

EMERGENT GEOMETRY AND QUANTUM GRAVITY [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 2010
We explain how quantum gravity can be defined by quantizing spacetime itself. A pinpoint is that the gravitational constant [Formula: see text] whose physical dimension is of (length)2 in natural unit introduces a symplectic structure of spacetime which causes a noncommutative spacetime at the Planck scale L P . The symplectic structure of spacetime M

Non-relativistic Quantum Mechanics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This essay is a discussion of the philosophical and foundational issues that arise in non-relativistic quantum theory. After introducing the formalism of the theory, I consider: characterizations of the quantum formalism, empirical content, uncertainty ...

Omnipolar Magnetic Field Detection by Superlattice‐Based Hall Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic‐field‐induced electronic switching is demonstrated in unit‐cell‐engineered La0.7Sr0.3MnO3–BiFeO3 superlattices. Distinct substrate terminations modify magnetic and transport properties. Hall resistance measurements show omnipolar, hysteretic anomalous Hall switching above the Curie temperature, arising from Fe─Mn interfacial exchange, enabling

Duality in Quantum Information Geometry [PDF]

open access: yesOpen Systems & Information Dynamics, 2004
Let [Formula: see text] be a separable Hilbert space. We consider the manifold [Formula: see text] consisting of density operators ρ on [Formula: see text] such that ρp is of trace class for some p ɛ (0, 1). We say [Formula: see text] is nearby ρ if there exists C > 1 such that C−1 ρ < σ < Cρ.

Presentism and Quantum Gravity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
There is a philosophical tradition of arguing against presentism, the thesis that only presently existing things exist, on the basis of its incompatibility with fundamental physics.
