RESUMMED QUANTUM GRAVITY

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics D, 2007
We present the current status of the new approach to quantum general relativity based on the exact resummation of its perturbative series as this series was formulated by Feynman. We show that the resummed theory is UV-finite and we present some phenomenological applications as well.

Smooth Quantum Gravity: Exotic Smoothness and Quantum Gravity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Over the last two decades, many unexpected relations between exotic smoothness, e.g. exotic $\mathbb{R}^{4}$, and quantum field theory were found. Some of these relations are rooted in a relation to superstring theory and quantum gravity. Therefore one would expect that exotic smoothness is directly related to the quantization of general relativity. In

Magnetic Fluid‐Driven Vine Robots for Minimally Invasive Tissue Biopsy Sampling

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study introduces a magnetic fluid‐powered vine robot for minimally invasive biopsies. The robot uses fluid pressurization for locomotion and external magnetic fields for precise steering. Its soft structure and high magnetic volume ensure controlled movements and stabilization, enabling effective tissue penetration.

Cosmological effective Hamiltonian from full loop quantum gravity dynamics

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2018
The concept of effective dynamics has proven successful in LQC, a loop-inspired quantization of cosmological spacetimes. We apply the same idea of its derivation in LQC to the full theory, by computing the expectation value of the scalar constraint with ...

Gecko‐Inspired Adhesive Grasping from Convex to Flat Surfaces with Contact Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A gecko‐inspired adhesive gripper with a pair of soft hierarchical bio‐toes and a bionic rolling module is designed for adaptive grasping from convex to flat surfaces. Integrated adhesive contact sensing enables the smart grabbing of complex items. The gripper exhibits adaptability, load‐bearing capacity, and potential for applications in industries ...

Quantum Field Theory of Black Hole Perturbations with Backreaction: I General Framework

open access: yesUniverse
In a seminal work, Hawking showed that natural states for free quantum matter fields on classical spacetimes that solve the spherically symmetric vacuum Einstein equations are KMS states of non-vanishing temperature.
