Quantum groups

Journal of Soviet Mathematics, 1988
This is an extended version of the talk at International Mathematical Congress, 1986. It surveys Hopf algebras as an algebraic foundation of a quantum inverse scattering method. Numerous examples of Hopf algebras are given, and their connection with the quantum Yang-Baxter identity is explained.

Asymptotically good Quantum and locally testable classical LDPC codes

Symposium on the Theory of Computing, 2021
We study classical and quantum LDPC codes of constant rate obtained by the lifted product construction over non-abelian groups. We show that the obtained families of quantum LDPC codes are asymptotically good, which proves the qLDPC conjecture. Moreover,

The Singularities of Quantum Groups

Proceedings of the London Mathematical Society, 2000
Motivated by the study by De Concini, Procesi and others of representations of quantum groups at roots of one, the author considers pairs \((H,C)\) where \(H\) is a complex prime Hopf algebra with center \(Z\) and \(C\) is a central Hopf subalgebra such that \(H\) is a finite \(C\)-module and \(Z\) is \(C\)-projective.

QUANTUM GROUPS AND DUALITY

Reviews in Mathematical Physics, 1993
We present an approach to the duality theory for quantum groups which is explicitly modelled on the construction of the group C*-algebra C* (G) from C0 (G), namely: in the dual of C0 (G), single out the ideal of all elements absolutely continuous with respect to Haar measure, renorm with a C*-norm determined by the representations of this ideal, and ...

A QUANTUM LORENTZ GROUP

International Journal of Modern Physics A, 1991
We examine the properties of the quantum Lorentz group SO q(3, 1) using the [Formula: see text] matrix given in Ref. 14. We show that this matrix together with the q-deformed metric C provide a representation of a BWM algebra. Using the projection operators which decompose the [Formula: see text] matrix into irreducible components, we give the general

Cohomology of Quantum Groups: the Quantum Dimension

Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1993
AbstractThis paper uses the notion of the quantum dimension to obtain new results on the cohomology and representation theory of quantum groups at a root of unity. In particular, we consider the elementary theory of support varieties for quantum groups.

The Full Classification of Orthogonal Easy Quantum Groups

, 2013
We study easy quantum groups, a combinatorial class of orthogonal quantum groups introduced by Banica–Speicher in 2009. We show that there is a countable descending chain of easy quantum groups interpolating between Bichon’s free wreath product with the ...

From “Quantum Groups” to “Quasi-Quantum Groups”

1991
The purpose of this lecture is not to review once more the theory of quantum groups, but to give a brief introduction to the recent work of Drinfeld1, where he presented a new (quantum) object, the quasi-Hopf algebras, which leads to generalizations of quantum groups that, to my knowledge, had not yet been proposed, and, in an even shorter summary, the
