Imaging of quantum-mechanical potentials
Physical Review A, 1989In technical applications such as reflection seismics and nondestructive testing, imaging principles are successfully used for the reconstruction of inhomogeneities. In quantum-mechanical inverse problems one usually proceeds by parametrizing the unknown potential with some free parameters, which are fitted to the data.

A Quantum Image Encryption Algorithm Based on Quantum Image Geometric Transformations
2012In this paper, the encryption on quantum image will be realized by the combination of kinds of quantum image geometric transforms. Before designing of the encryption algorithm, we put forward two fundamental important contents: quantum gray-scale image expression and quantum gray-scale geometric transformations both of which are the necessities for ...

Proceedings of the International School of Physics “Enrico Fermi”
We present a brief overview of the field of quantum imaging, concentrating on some recent results. Quantum imaging is a specific example of quantum metrology, and we thus start out with a discussion of quantum metrology including the generation of squeezed light and the generation of entangled photon pairs through the process of spontaneous parametric ...

Many recent experiments have explored the use of nonclassical states of light to perform imaging or sensing. Although these experiments require quantum descriptions of light to explain their behavior, the advantages they claim are not necessarily unique to quantum light.

Quantum Dots in Imaging [In the Spotlight]
IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, 2007Biotechnology reported the successful development of a self-illuminating type of quantum dot that can reveal its presence without the need for an external light source. In this article, we describe the major techniques for producing quantum dots and applications of the two classes of quantum dots (colloidal and epitaxial) in imaging.
