ENCRYPTION OF QUANTUM INFORMATION
International Journal of Foundations of Computer Science, 2003We study in detail the problem of encryption of quantum information. We present an attack on a private quantum channel (PQC) which applies when partial classical description of a ciphertext is known (the so-called known-ciphertext attack) and we show how this situation can be avoided.

Nanosilicon for quantum information
2017Silicon has raised an increasing interest in the development of future devices for quantum information processing. Quantum computing consists of the implementation of quantum algorithms on a physical substrate made of interacting qubits, the quantum version of digital bits.

Compression of Quantum Information
Fortschritte der Physik, 2001This work is presents a state of art review of the theory of compression of quantum information. For completeness basics theorems on compression of classical information and the basic notions needed to describe quantum information are discussed. The meat of the paper is the detailed discussion on compression of pure as well as mixed signal states ...

Abstract A conceptual analysis of the classical information theory of Shannon (1948) shows that this theory cannot be directly generalized to the usual quantum case. The reason is that in the usual quantum mechanics of closed systems there is no general concept of joint and conditional probability. Using, however, the generalized quantum mechanics of

In this chapter, we will study the particles moving along a line from another perspective: How well do we know where a particle is? The answer depends naturally on the accuracy of our measurement. There is, however, also a question about how well the position of a particle is defined. A high-precision measurement cannot be made on a diffuse object.

Quantum Information Theory and Quantum Information Processing Fundamentals
2019In this chapter, we provide the basic concepts of quantum information processing, quantum information theory, and quantum error correction. The following topics from quantum information processing will be covered: state vectors, operators, density operators, measurements, dynamics of a quantum system, superposition principle, quantum parallelism, no ...
