Fundamental limits on key rates in device-independent quantum key distribution [PDF]
In this paper, we introduce intrinsic non-locality as a quantifier for Bell non-locality, and we prove that it satisfies certain desirable properties such as faithfulness, convexity, and monotonicity under local operations and shared randomness.

Long-lived and multiplexed atom-photon entanglement interface with feed-forward-controlled readouts
The quantum interface to generate entanglement between a flying photonic qubit and a stationary qubit is a key functionality for the quantum internet. The authors demonstrate a multiplexed quantum interface that stores three long-lived spin-wave qubits ...

The Case for Quantum Key Distribution [PDF]
Quantum key distribution (QKD) promises secure key agreement by using quantum mechanical systems. We argue that QKD will be an important part of future cryptographic infrastructures.

SECURITY OF QUANTUM KEY DISTRIBUTION [PDF]
Quantum Information Theory is an area of physics which studies both fundamental and applied issues in quantum mechanics from an information-theoretical viewpoint. The underlying techniques are, however, often restricted to the analysis of systems which satisfy a certain independence condition.

Quantum key distribution via quantum encryption
A quantum key distribution protocol based on quantum encryption is presented in this Brief Report. In this protocol, the previously shared Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen pairs act as the quantum key to encode and decode the classical cryptography key.

Improving Parameter Optimization in Decoy-State Quantum Key Distribution
Quantum key distribution (QKD) enables two remote users to share a string of key bits with information-theoretical security. Parameter optimization is a crucial step in achieving optimal performance in practical QKD systems. In general, such optimization

Quantum Key Distribution with Classical Bob [PDF]
Secure key distribution among two remote parties is impossible when both are classical, unless some unproven (and arguably unrealistic) computation-complexity assumptions are made, such as the difficulty of factorizing large numbers. On the other hand, a
