Quantum Magnetometer with Dual‐Coupling Optomechanics

open access: yesLaser & Photonics Reviews, 2022
AbstractAn experimentally feasible magnetometer based on a dual‐coupling optomechanical system is proposed, where the radiation‐pressure coupling transduces the magnetic signal to the optical phase, and the quadratic optomechanical interaction induces a periodic squeezing effect.

Composite-pulse enhanced room-temperature diamond magnetometry

open access: yesFunctional Diamond, 2022
The sensitivity of practical solid quantum sensing can be boosted up by increasing the number of probes. However, the effects of spin dephasing caused by inhomogeneous broadening and imperfect quantum control can reduce the fidelity of quantum control ...

Gradiometer Using Separated Diamond Quantum Magnetometers

open access: yesSensors, 2021
The negatively charged nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center in diamonds is known as the spin defect and using its electron spin, magnetometry can be realized even at room temperature with extremely high sensitivity as well as a high dynamic range. However, a magnetically shielded enclosure is usually required to sense weak magnetic fields because environmental

Hybrid superconducting quantum magnetometer [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2011
A superconducting quantum magnetometer based on magnetic flux-driven modulation of the density of states of a proximized metallic nanowire is theoretically analyzed. With optimized geometrical and material parameters transfer functions up to a few mV/Phi_0 and intrinsic flux noise ~10^{-9}Phi_0 Hz^{-1/2} below 1 K are achievable.
