Imbalanced Surface Charge Induced Phase Segregation in Mixed Halide Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The key factor determining the phase segregation in mixed halide perovskites (MHP) is the intrinsic imbalanced surface charges in the crystal lattice. MHP films with excellent crystallinity and surface morphology can suffer severe phase segregation.

"Einstein's Dream" - Quantum Mechanics as Theory of Classical Random Fields [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
This is an introductory chapter of the book in progress on quantum foundations and incompleteness of quantum mechanics. Quantum mechanics is represented as statistical mechanics of classical fields.

Classicalization of Quantum Mechanics: Classical Radiation Damping Without the Runaway Solution

open access: yesPhysics
In this paper, we review a new treatment of classical radiation damping, which resolves a known contradiction in the Abraham–Lorentz equation that has long been a concern. This radiation damping problem has already been solved in quantum mechanics by the

A ZX-Calculus with Triangles for Toffoli-Hadamard, Clifford+T, and Beyond [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Science, 2019
We consider a ZX-calculus augmented with triangle nodes which is well-suited to reason on the so-called Toffoli-Hadamard fragment of quantum mechanics. We precisely show the form of the matrices it represents, and we provide an axiomatisation which makes

On a New Form of Quantum Mechanics (II) [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
The correspondence of a new form of quantum mechanics based on a quantum version of the action principle, which was proposed earlier [arXiv:0807.3508], with the ordinary quantum mechanics is established. New potentialities of the quantum action principle in the interpretation of quantum mechanics are considered.

P.A.M. Dirac and the Discovery of Quantum Mechanics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Dirac's contributions to the discovery of non-relativistic quantum mechanics and quantum electrodynamics, prior to his discovery of the relativistic wave equation, are described.

A probabilistic approach to quantum mechanics based on tomograms

open access: yes, 2006
It is usually believed that a picture of Quantum Mechanics in terms of true probabilities cannot be given due to the uncertainty relations. Here we discuss a tomographic approach to quantum states that leads to a probability representation of quantum ...

On Finite $J$-Hermitian Quantum Mechanics [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
In his recent paper arXiv:1312.7738, the author discussed $J$-Hermitian quantum mechanics and showed that $PT$-symmetric quantum mechanics is essentially $J$-Hermitian quantum mechanics. In this paper, the author discusses finite $J$-Hermitian quantum mechanics which is derived naturally from its continuum one and its relationship with finite $PT ...

Reality, Indeterminacy, Probability, and Information in Quantum Theory

open access: yesEntropy, 2020
Following the view of several leading quantum-information theorists, this paper argues that quantum phenomena, including those exhibiting quantum correlations (one of their most enigmatic features), and quantum mechanics may be best understood in quantum-

Classical mechanics is not h=0 limit of quantum mechanics

open access: yes, 2004
Both the set of quantum states and the set of classical states described by symplectic tomographic probability distributions (tomograms) are studied. It is shown that the sets have common part but there exist tomograms of classical states which are not ...
