We introduce a physical approach to social networks (SNs) in which each actor is characterized by a yes-no test on a physical system. This allows us to consider SNs beyond those originated by interactions based on pre-existing properties, as in a classical SN (CSN).

Ultrastrong coupling in single plexcitonic nanocubes
Light-matter strong coupling is defined when the coupling strength exceeds the losses in the system, whereas ultrastrong coupling is not simply strong coupling with even larger coupling strength.

A Lower Size, Weight Acquisition and Tracking System for Airborne Quantum Communication
The features of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), such as strong manoeuvrability, small size, and light weight, make them considered to participate in free space optical (FSO) quantum communication, becoming an important part of the Space-Air-Ground ...

Semidefinite Tests for Quantum Network Topologies. [PDF]
Quantum networks play a major role in long-distance communication, quantum cryptography, clock synchronization, and distributed quantum computing. Generally, these protocols involve many independent sources sharing entanglement among distant parties that,

Quantum chaos in small quantum networks [PDF]
We study a 2-spin quantum Turing architecture, in which discrete local rotations _m of the Turing head spin alternate with quantum controlled NOT-operations. We show that a single chaotic parameter input _m leads to a chaotic dynamics in the entire Hilbert space.

Quantum Switchboard with Coupled-Cavity Array
The ability to control the flow of quantum information is deterministically useful for scaling up quantum computation. In this paper, we demonstrate a controllable quantum switchboard which directs the teleportation protocol to one of two targets, fully ...

Entanglement generation in a quantum network at distance-independent rate [PDF]
We develop a protocol for entanglement generation in the quantum internet that allows a repeater node to use n-qubit Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) projective measurements that can fuse n successfully entangled links, i.e., two-qubit entangled Bell ...
