Abstract For any entangled state of two or more systems, quantum theory predicts experimental results that are inconsistent with local realism: they violate a generalized Bell inequality. But some mixtures of entangled states do not violate any generalized Bell inequality.

Nonlocality arises from the unified “all or nothing” interactions of a spatially extended field quantum such as a photon or an electron.2 In the double-slit experiment with light, for example, each photon comes through both slits and arrives at the viewing screen as an extended but unified energy bundle or “field quantum.” When the photon interacts ...

Quantum nonlocality. Detecting nonlocality in many-body quantum states.
Science (New York, N.Y.), 2014Intensive studies of entanglement properties have proven essential for our understanding of quantum many-body systems. In contrast, much less is known about the role of quantum nonlocality in these systems because the available multipartite Bell inequalities involve correlations among many particles, which are difficult to access experimentally.

Nonlocal quantum gravity: A review
International Journal of Modern Physics D, 2017We hereby review a class of quantum gravitational theories based on weakly nonlocal analytic classical actions. The most general action is characterized by two nonpolynomial entire functions (form-factors) in terms quadratic in curvature. The form-factors avert the presence of poltergeists, that plague any local higher derivative theory of gravity and

Quantifying Quantum Nonlocality
2007Quantum mechanics is nonlocal, meaning it cannot be described by any classical local hidden variable model. In this thesis we study two aspects of quantum nonlocality. Part I addresses the question of what classical resources are required to simulate nonlocal quantum correlations.
