Generating and using truly random quantum states in Mathematica
The problem of generating random quantum states is of a great interest from the quantum information theory point of view. In this paper we present a package for Mathematica computing system harnessing a specific piece of hardware, namely Quantis quantum ...

The charge conjugation quantum number in multiquark systems [PDF]
We discuss the charge conjugation quantum number for tetraquarks or meson-meson molecules, seen as possible interpretations of the newly found $XYZ$ charmonium-like resonances.Comment: 7 pages, 1 figure, based on a talk given at the Joint Meeting ...

Polarization-Entangled Light Pulses of 10^5 Photons
We experimentally demonstrate polarization entanglement for squeezed vacuum pulses containing more than 10^5 photons. We also study photon-number entanglement by calculating the Schmidt number and measuring its operational counterpart. Theoretically, our

Nondissipative Drag Conductance as a Topological Quantum Number
We show in this paper that the boundary condition averaged nondissipative drag conductance of two coupled mesoscopic rings with no tunneling, evaluated in a particular many-particle eigenstate, is a topological invariant characterized by a Chern integer.

Photon-number-solving Decoy State Quantum Key Distribution
In this paper, a photon-number-resolving decoy state quantum key distribution scheme is presented based on recent experimental advancements. A new upper bound on the fraction of counts caused by multiphoton pulses is given.

A synchronous game for binary constraint systems
Recently, W. Slofstra proved that the set of quantum correlations is not closed. We prove that the set of synchronous quantum correlations is not closed, which implies his result, by giving an example of a synchronous game that has a perfect quantum ...

Some results indicate that quantum information based on quantum physics is more powerful than classical one. In this paper, we propose new tricks based on quantum physics. Our tricks are methods inspired by the strategies of quantum game theory. In these tricks, magicians have the ability of quantum physics, but spectators have only classical one.

Quantum-state preparation with universal gate decompositions
In quantum computation every unitary operation can be decomposed into quantum circuits-a series of single-qubit rotations and a single type entangling two-qubit gates, such as controlled-NOT (CNOT) gates.

Number of steady states of quantum evolutions
We prove sharp universal upper bounds on the number of linearly independent steady and asymptotic states of discrete- and continuous-time Markovian evolutions of open quantum systems. We show that the bounds depend only on the dimension of the system and
