Anisotropic Phonon Dynamics and Directional Transport in Actinide Van der Waals Semiconductor Uranium Triselenide

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
USe3 is introduced as an actinide van der Waals semiconductor that mirrors the quasi‐one‐dimensional physics of transition‐metal trichalcogenides. Polarization‐resolved Raman spectroscopy on exfoliated flakes maps strong in‐plane phonon anisotropy and strain‐tunable mode shifts.

Quantum Phase Estimation Using Multivalued Logic

open access: yes2011 41st IEEE International Symposium on Multiple-Valued Logic, 2011
Quantum phase estimation (QPE) is one of the most important quantum algorithms which is used as a subroutine for other important quantum algorithms like Shor's factoring algorithm, simulation of quantum systems, quantum counting and QFT on arbitrary Zp.

Optimized qubit phase estimation in noisy quantum channels

open access: yes, 2011
We address the estimation of phase-shifts for qubit systems in the presence of noise. Different sources of noise are considered including bit flip, bit-phase flip and phase flip.

Electrically Induced Phase Transition and Synaptic Functionality in MoTe2/Graphene Memristors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An electrically induced reversible 2H ↔ 1T′ phase transition is demonstrated in a vertical Au/Ti/MoTe2/graphene memristor with a laterally contacted graphene electrode. Resistive switching proceeds through a compositionally invariant amorphous/2H ↔ amorphous/1T′ transformation, in which a self‐formed amorphous MoTe2 interfacial region is proposed to ...

Designing Vanadium‐Based Oxide Electrocatalysts for Water Splitting: Experimental and Mechanistic Insights with Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review establishes structure‐property‐mechanism relationships across six modification strategies for V‐based oxide water‐splitting electrocatalysts: lattice engineering, heteroatom doping, interface engineering, carbon‐based hybridization, morphology engineering, and surface reconstruction and pre‐catalyst design, where dissolution is reframed as ...

Photo‐Degradable Polyester Networks and Multi‐Photon Printed Objects Based on Cyclic Ketene Acetals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The current work introduces a photoreversible polyester network derived from radical ring‐opening polymerization of cyclic ketene acetals. It combines photoreversible cross‐linking with initiator‐free multi‐photon printing. Reversible network formation, tunable mechanical properties, and selective degradation highlight its potential as a versatile ...

Distributed Phase Estimation at the Heisenberg Limit with Classical Light

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research
Quantum metrology, such as quantum phase estimation, can surpass classical sensing limits, reaching the Heisenberg‐scaling precision. So far, this kind of metrology has been thought to be only implementable with the quantum systems, which, however, are ...
