Wetting of Surface Grafted Hydrophilic‐b‐Hydrophobic Block Copolymer Brushes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The wetting properties of surface grafted diblock copolymer brushes are influenced by the thickness of the hydrophilic bottom block and the hydrophobic top block. The surface adapts in presence of water and the contact angles of the bottom block shine through. Abstract The wetting of diblock copolymer brushes by water is studied.

Highly efficient frequency conversion with bandwidth compression of quantum light

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
In quantum information technology the output of one element often does not match the required frequency and bandwidth of the input of the next element. Here, Allgaieret al.

Impenetrable Barriers and Canonical Quantization [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2001
We address a conceptual issue of reconciling the traditional canonical quantization framework of quantum theory with the spatially restricted quantum dynamics and the related spectral problems for confined and global observables of the quantum system.

Causality and probabilistic interpretation of quantum mechanics [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2000
It is shown that probabilistic treatment of quantum mechanics can be coordinated with causality of all physical processes. The physical interpretation of quantum-mechanical phenomena such as process of measurement and collapse of quantum state is given.
