Holistic Quantum State and Process Tomography

Frontiers in Optics 2013, 2013
Incompletely characterized processes can be used for state tomography. We formalize this idea and show how to chose processes that ensure invertibility for the unknown state, as well as the unknown process parameters.

Quantum process tomography with entangled photons

Postconference Digest Quantum Electronics and Laser Science, 2003. QELS., 2003
Summary form only given. Using entangled photons from parametric down-conversion as optical qubits, we characterize single- and multiple-qubit operations by quantum process tomography. This allows complete characterization of the operations, including decoherence.

Quantum-Tomography Method in Information Processing

2006
Analogy of time-dependent analytic signal to the wave function is used to apply in signal analysis the new tomographic approach developed recently in quantum mechanics and quantum optics. The tomographic probability and analytic signal are shown to be connected by the integral transform with a kernel related to the fractional Fourier transform.
