Quantum Radar and Noise Radar Concepts

2021 IEEE Radar Conference (RadarConf21), 2021
Comparative analysis of Noise Radar (NR) and Quantum Radar (QR) concepts are presented in the paper. Recently proposed methods for generation of quantum correlated signals directly in microwave frequency range give more chances for design of QR for long-range applications.

Noise Radar Technology and Quantum Radar: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

2022 IEEE 2nd Ukrainian Microwave Week (UkrMW), 2022
In spite of the centennial age of radar, this technology is facing continuous progress. This overview paper considers two significant items in this field, namely Noise Radar Technology (NRT) and Quantum Radar (QR). Status, ongoing research and future perspectives are briefly discussed, not forgetting some critical and controversial elements.

Quantum Noise Radar: Assessing Quantum Correlations

2019 IEEE International Conference on Microwaves, Antennas, Communications and Electronic Systems (COMCAS), 2019
We suggest overcoming the "Rayleigh catastrophe" and reaching superresolution for imaging with both spatially and temporally-correlated field of a superradiant quantum antenna. Considering far-field radiation of two interacting spontaneously emitting two-level systems, we show that for the measurement of the temporally-delayed second-order correlation ...

Quantum radar, quantum networks, not-so-quantum hackers

Signal Processing, Sensor/Information Fusion, and Target Recognition XXVIII, 2019
Many quantum technologies, such as quantum computers, rely on a phenomenon called entanglement. One reason why quantum networks are being studied is because they can distribute entanglement to their users. In this paper, we describe how quantum radars, particularly the recently-developed quantum two-mode squeezing radar (QTMS radar), can be used with ...

Quantum Radar Cross Section

SPIE Proceedings, 2010
ABSTRACT The radar cross section C is an objective measure of the \radar visibility" of an objec t. As such, C is animportantconcept for the correct characterization ofthe o perational performance ofradar systems. Furthermore, C is equally essential for the design and development of steal th weapon systems and platforms.

Quantum Radar vs Noise Radar

2016 9th International Kharkiv Symposium on Physics and Engineering of Microwaves, Millimeter and Submillimeter Waves (MSMW), 2016
Preliminary results of the comparative analysis of Quantum Radar (QR) based upon quantum entanglement phenomenon and Noise Radar (NR) based upon classical coherence notion and correlation processing of random signals are presented in the paper. It has been shown that the basic idea of entangled multi-photon QR for simultaneous implementing of high ...
