Collapse and revival oscillations as a probe for the tunneling amplitude in an ultra-cold Bose gas

open access: yes, 2010
We present a theoretical study of the quantum corrections to the revival time due to finite tunneling in the collapse and revival of matter wave interference after a quantum quench.

The scale matters: A review on stimuli‐responsive microrobots categorized by scale for biomedical applications

open access: yesResponsive Materials, EarlyView.
We systematically summarize how each scale dictates fundamental choices in design feature, manufacturing technology, driving mechanism, and control strategy, which are inherently governed by scale‐dominated physical principles. Furthermore, the application of scale‐determined operation modes of microrobots across different stages of medical ...

Nonlinear emission characteristics of quantum dot–micropillar lasers in the presence of polarized optical feedback

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2013
We report on electrically pumped quantum dot–microlasers in the presence of polarized self-feedback. The high- β microlasers show two orthogonal, linearly polarized emission modes which are coupled via the common gain medium.

Tracing Three Decades of Low Earth Orbit Satellite Communication Development: A Bibliometric and Main Path Analysis of Network Architectures, Protocol Evolution, and Emerging Intelligent Services

open access: yesInternational Journal of Satellite Communications and Networking, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite communication systems have evolved into a critical component of global broadband networks, enabling wide‐area connectivity, IoT services, and intelligent multilayer satellite–terrestrial integration. Despite rapid advancements in constellation deployment, routing mechanisms, resource management, and LEO–5G/6G ...

A Comparative Evaluation of Carbonaceous and Alloy Type Anodes for Sodium‐Ion Batteries: Capacity, Scalability, and Sustainability Perspectives

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This review critically compares the electrochemical performance of carbon‐based and alloy‐type anodes for sodium‐ion batteries, with an emphasis on strategies that enhance practical deployment. It highlights how synergistic optimization of microstructure, electrolyte, and presodiation improves hard carbon, while nanostructuring and interfacial ...

Blueprint for experiments exploring the quantum recurrence theorem on a coupled multiqubit system

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
The quantum form of the Poincaré recurrence theorem stipulates that a system with a time-independent Hamiltonian and discrete energy levels returns arbitrarily close to its initial state in a finite time.

Systemic Governance From Below: Story Telling to Empower Access to the Commons Through Mapping and Modelling: A Mixed Methods Approach

open access: yesSystems Research and Behavioral Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Access to forests, farming land and the Citarum river is limited in Tarumajaya; furthermore, many do not own their own housing and are dependent on the public and private landowners in the area. The region of Tarumajaya faces significant challenges in access to crucial resources such as forests, farming land and the Citarum river, leading to a

Echoes and revival echoes in systems of anharmonically confined atoms

open access: yes, 2012
We study echoes and what we call 'revival echoes' for a collection of atoms that are described by a single quantum wavefunction and are confined in a weakly anharmonic trap. The echoes and revival echoes are induced by applying two, successive temporally

With a Great Story Comes Great Responsibility: Role of Narrative in Leadership Development

open access: yesNew Directions for Student Leadership, Volume 2025, Issue 185, Page 81-87, Spring 2025.
ABSTRACT Comic books reside uniquely within American culture. Historians have contended comics are more than just sequential artwork mixed with engaging stories, but rather, a framework by which the generations make sense of who they are. These stories are a reflection of cultural conscience; a lens through which we can view the world and a mirror ...
