Quantum tunneling, dynamical symmetry, and quantum revival

Physical Review E, 1996
Quantum tunneling dynamics of a periodically driven symmetric double-well system is studied within the framework of the Floquet theory. The role that a dynamical symmetry of the system plays in connection with tunneling is analyzed. The analysis shows that, in order to fully describe tunneling exhibited by a system with a dynamical symmetry, one should

Quantum revivals in micromasers

Annual Meeting Optical Society of America, 1988
A distinctive signature of the granulated nature of the electromagnetic field is the revivals known to occur in the dynamics of a two-level atom interacting with a single-field mode (Jaynes-Cummings model). The development of high-Q single-mode cavities combined with progress in Rydberg atom spectroscopy has led to a possibility of verifying these ...

New treatment of quantum revivals

Chinese Physics Letters, 1989
When a real system consisting of a two-level atom and a single-mode field is described by a pair of state vectors, the energy of the atom shows a stationary cosine oscillation. When this energy is averaged over an ensemble, we get the usual periodic decays and revivals of the mean value of the energy.

Revival of Quantum Interference by Modulating the Biphotons [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2019
The possibility to manipulate the wavepackets of single photons or biphotons has enriched quantum optics and quantum information science, with examples ranging from faithful quantum-state mapping and high-efficiency quantum memory to the purification of single photons.
