This work presents a programmable atomic engineering strategy for 2D materials using Å‐scale nanoreactors formed by bilayer graphene (BLG) intercalation. A new class of alkali‐iron‐chloride compounds, along with lateral heterostructures composed of monolayer alkali halides and iron chlorides, is revealed.

A 3D‐printed piezoionic GPMx hydrogel enables stable electromechanical signal generation under mechanical loading, exhibiting long‐term durability and low fatigue. As a bioactive patch, it restores endogenous bioelectricity to stimulate osteogenesis via Ca2+ influx and mitochondrial activation, while simultaneously enabling label‐free alkaline ...

A new class of group field theories for 1st order discrete quantum gravity
Group Field Theories, a generalization of matrix models for 2d gravity, represent a 2nd quantization of both loop quantum gravity and simplicial quantum gravity.

Quantum-classical crossover of a field mode [PDF]
We explore the quantum-classical crossover in the behaviour of a quantum field mode. The quantum behaviour of a two-state system—a qubit—coupled to the field is used as a probe.

Plasmonic Enhancement of Fluorescence and Protein Dynamics in Living Mammalian Cells
This study demonstrates plasmonic enhancement of the function of fluorescent voltage sensing proteins (genetically encoded voltage indicators, (GEVIs), QuasAr6) in live mammalian cells. Coupling to plasmonic nanoparticles does not just increase fluorescence, but influences the protein photocycle, creating a hybrid sensor with its response speed to ...

Analysis of post-quantum digital signature algorithms
openQuesta tesi si propone di analizzare e confrontare alcuni algoritmi crittografici resistenti agli attacchi dei computer quantistici, noti come algoritmi post-quantum, recentemente valutati dal NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology).

The quantum Carnot engine and its quantum signature
Quantum thermodynamics follows the tradition of learning by example. The Carnot cycle would be a primary candidate. The attempts to model the four stroke quantum Carnot cycle failed due to the diculty to model the isothermal branches, where the working ...

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...

Design and Implementation of a Quantum-Assisted Digital Signature
We propose a new quantum-assisted digital signature (Q-DS) protocol based on the composite of truly random symmetric keys generated by quantum key distribution with secure standardized hash functions, which allows for high parameterization to provide ...

Quantum correlations in and beyond quantum entanglement in bipartite continuous variable systems
This thesis explores the role of non-classical correlations in bipartite continuous variable quantum systems, and the approach taken is three-fold. We show that given two initially entangled atomic ensembles, it is possible to probabilistically increase ...
