Quantum Engineering of Landau Levels Using Isotopes in Graphene‐Like Graphite

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 2, February 2026.
We demonstrate that 13C$^{13}{\rm C}$‐doping in graphene‐like graphite produces a sizable splitting of the Landau level transitions in the magneto‐Raman spectra, a signature of an effective gauge field or pseudomagnetic field on the scale of 0.2 Tesla.

Epitaxy Growth of Robust Mono‐Oriented Rhombohedral NbSe2 Ribbons on c‐Plane Sapphire

open access: yesSmartMat, Volume 7, Issue 1, February 2026.
Mono‐oriented rhombohedral (R) NbSe2 ribbons have been successfully synthesized on annealed c‐plane sapphire, with particular emphasis on the step‐guided epitaxy mechanism—specifically, how substrate steps regulate both crystal orientation and the formation of R‐stacked NbSe2.

On Multilevel Energy‐Based Fragmentation Methods

open access: yesInternational Journal of Quantum Chemistry, Volume 126, Issue 3, January 30, 2026.
We investigate the working equations of energy‐based fragmentation methods and present ML‐SUPANOVA, a Möbius‐inversion‐based multilevel fragmentation scheme that enables adaptive, quasi‐optimal truncations to efficiently approximate Born‐Oppenheimer potentials across hierarchies of electronic‐structure methods and basis sets.

Solution ALD of (CH3NH3)(PbI3) Perovskite Thin Films Yields Functional Quality and Stability Superior to Classical Processing

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 65, Issue 3, 16 January 2026.
Chemically controlled deposition of the prototypical hybrid halide perovskite methylammonium triiodoplumbate(II), MAPI, is demonstrated in layer by layer fashion from the solution phase. Theoretical modeling confirms the accretion mechanism. Extensive materials and functional characterization highlight how chemical control of nucleation and growth ...
