On the statistical mechanics of an adiabatic ensemble
Different descriptions of an adiabatic process based on statistical thermodynamics and statistical mechanics are discussed. Equality of the so-called adiabatic and isolated susceptibilities and its generalization as well as adiabatic invariants are ...

Quantum Statistical Mechanics in Classical Phase Space. Test Results for Quantum Harmonic Oscillators [PDF]
The von Neumann trace form of quantum statistical mechanics is transformed to an integral over classical phase space. Formally exact expressions for the resultant position-momentum commutation function are given. A loop expansion for wave function symmetrization is also given. The method is tested for quantum harmonic oscillators.

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

The Entropy-Based Quantum Metric
The von Neumann entropy S( D ^ ) generates in the space of quantum density matrices D ^ the Riemannian metric ds2 = −d2S( D ^ ), which is physically founded and which characterises the amount of quantum information lost by mixing D ...

No spin-statistics connection in nonrelativistic quantum mechanics [PDF]
We emphasize that there is no spin-statistics connection in nonrelativistic quantum mechanics. In several recent papers, including Phys. Rev. A 67, 042102 (2003) [quant-ph/0207017], quantum mechanics is modified so as to force a spin-statistics connection, but the resulting theory is quite different from standard physics.

The dynamic polarization reversal of coexisting normal and relaxor ferroelectrics in 1D TMAPbI₃ (tetramethylammonium, TMA) is deciphered through combined experimental and theoretical approaches. By bridging atomic‐scale motion, macroscopic polarization switching, and depolarization effects, a universal methodology is established to engineer next ...

A magnetic microrobot fabricated by Spirulina platensis is proposed to accumulate in tumor regions and generate in situ high calcium concentration and sufficient oxygen. These characteristics of the microrobot present a strategy for triggering calcium overload therapy and chlorophyll‐mediated photodynamic therapy, and such combination resulted in a ...

Asymmetric Information and Quantization in Financial Economics
We show how a quantum formulation of financial economics can be derived from asymmetries with respect to Fisher information. Our approach leverages statistical derivations of quantum mechanics which provide a natural basis for interpreting quantum ...

Computational Modeling of Reticular Materials: The Past, the Present, and the Future
Reticular materials are advanced materials with applications in emerging technologies. A thorough understanding of material properties at operating conditions is critical to accelerate the deployment at an industrial scale. Herein, the status of computational modeling of reticular materials is reviewed, supplemented with topical examples highlighting ...
