Quantum supremacy in a superconducting quantum processor
Photonics for Quantum, 2021The promise of quantum computers is that certain computational tasks might be executed exponentially faster on a quantum processor than on a classical processor. We have used a programmable superconducting processor to create quantum states on 53 qubits, corresponding to a "parallel computation" of 10 million trillion states.

Toward “quantum supremacy” with photons
Quantum Information and Measurement (QIM) V: Quantum Technologies, 2019We develop single-photon sources that simultaneously combines high purity, efficiency, and indistinguishability. We demonstrate entanglement among 12 single photons. We construct high-performance multi-photon boson sampling machines to race against classical computers.

Fundamentals of Quantum Computing, Quantum Supremacy, and Quantum Machine Learning
2021When we aim to demonstrate that a programmable quantum device can solve complex problems which cannot be addressed by classic computers, this fundamental goal is known as quantum supremacy. This concept has changed every fundamental rule of computation.
