Reversible quantum communication & systems

open access: yesIET Quantum Communication, 2022
Abstract Quantum Computing has emerged as one of the important dimensions of global research lately, on both the prospects, hardware as well as algorithms. With enhanced processing powers, several architectures based on adiabatic concepts resulting in reversibility have been proposed to date.

Optimal Radial Build and Transmutation Properties of a Fusion-Based Transmutation Reactor with Molten Salt Coolants

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
The optimal shape of a fusion-based transmutation reactor with a molten salt coolant was determined by plasma physics, technology, and neutronic requirements.

Quantum metamaterial without local control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A quantum metamaterial can be implemented as a quantum coherent 1D array of qubits placed in a transmission line. The properties of quantum metamaterials are determined by the local quantum state of the system.

Experimental Rectification of Entropy Production by Maxwell's Demon in a Quantum System. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2016
Maxwell's demon explores the role of information in physical processes. Employing information about microscopic degrees of freedom, this "intelligent observer" is capable of compensating entropy production (or extracting work), apparently challenging the

CONTROL OF QUANTUM SYSTEMS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics B, 2002
A quantum system subject to external fields is said to be controllable if these fields can be adjusted to guide the state vector to a desired destination in the state space of the system. Fundamental results on controllability are reviewed against the background of recent ideas and advances in two seemingly disparate endeavours: (i) laser control of ...

Applications of logic of correlated knowledge to quantum mechanics

open access: yesLietuvos Matematikos Rinkinys, 2018
Knowledge of agents associated to particles of quantum system has been modelled in the paper. Also analysis of formulas and satisfiability in the model have been done.

Quantum feedback with weak measurements [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The problem of feedback control of quantum systems by means of weak measurements is investigated in detail. When weak measurements are made on a set of identical quantum systems, the single-system density matrix can be determined to a high degree of ...

Periodically driving a many-body localized quantum system [PDF]

open access: yesNature Physics, 2016
Periodically driven quantum many-body systems can display rich dynamics and host exotic phases that are absent in their undriven counterparts. However, in the presence of interactions such systems are expected to eventually heat up to a simple infinite ...

QUANTUM BI-HAMILTONIAN SYSTEMS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 2000
We define quantum bi-Hamiltonian systems, by analogy with the classical case, as derivations in operator algebras which are inner derivations with respect to two compatible associative structures. We find such structures by means of the associative version of Nijenhuis tensors. Explicit examples, e.g. for the harmonic oscillator, are given.

Signatures of Many-Body Localization in a Controlled Open Quantum System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In the presence of disorder, an interacting closed quantum system can undergo many-body localization (MBL) and fail to thermalize. However, over long times, even weak couplings to any thermal environment will necessarily thermalize the system and erase ...
