Microscopic-scale magnetic recording of brain neuronal electrical activity using a diamond quantum sensor

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Quantum sensors using solid state qubits have demonstrated outstanding sensitivity, beyond that possible using classical devices. In particular, those based on colour centres in diamond have demonstrated high sensitivity to magnetic field through ...

The Geometry of Nanoparticle-on-Mirror Plasmonic Nanocavities Impacts Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering Backgrounds

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2023
Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) has garnered substantial attention due to its ability to achieve single-molecule sensitivity by utilizing metallic nanostructures to amplify the exceedingly weak Raman scattering process. However, the introduction

Coupling Classical and Quantum Variables using Continuous Quantum Measurement Theory

open access: yes, 1997
We propose a system of equations to describe the interaction of a quasiclassical variable $X$ with a set of quantum variables $x$ that goes beyond the usual mean field approximation.

Cobalt Tungstate Characterization Using Matryoshka‐Structure Filter

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The green synthesis of cobalt tungstate (CoWO4) using natural polymerizing agents from agar–agar and commercial produces environmentally friendly materials with tunable structural and electromagnetic properties. X‐ray diffraction and Rietveld refinement correlate crystal structure with microwave transmission losses in Matryoshka‐type filters.

Efimov three-body states on top of a Fermi sea

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2014
The stabilization of Cooper pairs of bound electrons in the background of a Fermi sea is the origin of superconductivity and the paradigmatic example of the striking influence of many-body physics on few-body properties.

Stabilized Intermediate Phase Via Pseudo‐Halide Anions Toward Highly Efficient and Light‐Soaking Stable Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
The formate pseudo‐halide anion is strategically introduced at the buried interface to stabilize the intermediate phases formed during perovskite crystallization. The controlled crystallization enhances crystallinity and alleviates tensile strain, eliminating residual PbI2 near the buried interface.

Micro-tensile testing of reduced-activation ferritic steel F82H irradiated with Fe and He ions

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy, 2018
Micro-tensile tests were conducted on reduced-activation ferritic steel F82H specimens after irradiation with Fe and He ions. The displacement damage levels were 50 and 200 dpa, and helium concentrations were 0, 2000 and 5000 appm.

Fault-Tolerant Control of Linear Quantum Stochastic Systems

open access: yes, 2017
In quantum engineering, faults may occur in a quantum control system, which will cause the quantum control system unstable or deteriorate other relevant performance of the system.
