Boson-Controlled Quantum Transport [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2007
We study the interplay of collective dynamics and damping in the presence of correlations and bosonic fluctuations within the framework of a newly proposed model, which captures the principal transport mechanisms that apply to a variety of physical systems. We establish close connections to the transport of lattice and spin polarons, or the dynamics of

SYMMETRY AND QUANTUM TRANSPORT ON NETWORKS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Quantum Information, 2010
We study the classical and quantum transport processes on some finite networks and model them by continuous-time random walks (CTRW) and continuous-time quantum walks (CTQW), respectively. We calculate the classical and quantum transition probabilities between two nodes of the network.

Quantum Transport Modeling of CurrentNoise in Quantum Devices [PDF]

open access: yesVLSI Design, 2001
We have studied the dependence of noise characteristics on the dimension of electron confinement of quantum devices at low temperature. By using the nonequilibrium Green′s function method, we have found that in a double barrier resonant tunneling diode the shot noise is suppressed only around the bias voltage of the resonant tunneling and the noise ...

Experimental control of transport resonances in a coherent quantum rocking ratchet

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
The ratchet effect can be used as a tool to control coherent quantum transport of ultra-cold atoms. Here, the authors demonstrate a rocking quantum ratchet with a rubidium BEC, and reveal the existence of quantum transport resonances.

Quantum State of the Fermionic Carriers in a Transport Channel Connecting Particle Reservoirs

open access: yesCondensed Matter, 2019
We analyze the quantum state of fermionic carriers in a transport channel attached to a particle reservoir. The analysis is done from first principles by considering microscopic models of the reservoir and transport channel.

Mixed‐class J‐domain protein scaffolds promote expanded aggregate handling and multivalent Hsp70 engagement during functional disaggregase assembly

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...
