Quantum vacuum friction

Journal of Optics B: Quantum and Semiclassical Optics, 2005
The quantum vacuum may in certain circumstances be regarded as a type of fluid medium, or aether, exhibiting energy density, pressure, stress and friction. Vacuum friction may be thought of as being responsible for the spontaneous creation of particles from the vacuum state when the system is non-stationary.

Quantum vacuum magnetic birefringence

Hyperfine Interactions, 2011
In this contribution to EXA2011 congress, we present the status of the BMV (Birefringence Magnetique du Vide) experiment which is based on the use of a state-of-the-art optical resonant cavity and high pulsed magnetic fields, and it is hosted by the Laboratoire National des Champs Magnetiques Intenses in Toulouse, France.

Quantum Vacuum Ocean

This paper presents the Quantum Vacuum Ocean (QVO) model — a unified, medium-based framework that redefines vacuum as a structured quantum superfluid. It provides a physically coherent alternative to spacetime curvature, field fragmentation, and metric expansion.

Quantum Vacuum Pathway Theory

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2005
It is theorized that the quantum vacuum is a random electromagnetic field that permeates the universe. It will be shown that acceleration between a quark and a random electromagnetic energy field is an analog of the reaction between a charge moving at constant velocity with respect to an organized electromagnetic field.

Quantum nature of vacuum

International Journal of Modern Physics A
Can the vacuum itself be a crystalline solid of frozen spinons with chargons hopping across it? In this paper, we describe an attempt at adding an inverted world action to the usual action, leading to an emergent field description of physical quarks and bosons.
