Spinodal decomposition: An alternate mechanism of phase conversion
The scenario of homogeneous nucleation is investigated for a first order quark-hadron phase transition in a rapidly expanding background of quark gluon plasma. It is found that significant supercooling is possible before hadronization begins.

Quark Gluon Plasma - Recent Advances [PDF]
While heavy ion collisions at the SPS have produced excited strongly interacting matter near the conditions for quark deconfinement, the RHIC may be the first machine capable of creating quark-antiquark plasmas sufficiently long-lived to allow deep ...

Photons from strange-quark annihilation in a quark-gluon plasma [PDF]
We compute the energy spectrum of photons which originate from the quark-annihilation process ss¯→γg in quark-gluon plasma. The spectrum peaks at an energy Eγmax∼2ms∼400 MeV in the rest frame of the plasma.

Relaxation time for strange quark spin in rotating quark-gluon plasma [PDF]
Experiments at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) have measured the net polarization of $\Lambda$ and $\bar{\Lambda}$ hyperons and attributed it to a coupling between their spin and the vorticity of the fluid created in heavy ion collisions ...

While it is commonly believed that there is a {\it direct} transition from the hadronic to a quark gluon phase at high temperature, it would be prejudicial to rule out a sequence of dynamically generated intermediate scales.

Bottomonia suppression in an anisotropic quark-gluon plasma
A brief review of recent studies on suppression of bottomonia in an anisotropic quark-gluon plasma created in heavy-ion collisions at the LHC is presented.

The static hard-loop gluon propagator to all orders in anisotropy
We calculate the (semi-)static hard-loop self-energy and propagator using the Keldysh formalism in a momentum-space anisotropic quark-gluon plasma. The static retarded, advanced, and Feynman (symmetric) self-energies and propagators are calculated to all

Probing the Time Structure of the Quark-Gluon Plasma with Top Quarks. [PDF]
The tiny droplets of quark gluon plasma (QGP) created in high-energy nuclear collisions experience fast expansion and cooling with a lifetime of a few fm/c.

Relativistic hydrodynamic attractors with broken symmetries: non-conformal and non-homogeneous
Standard textbooks will state that hydrodynamics requires near-equilibrium to be applicable. Recently, however, out-of-equilibrium attractor solutions for hydrodynamics have been found in kinetic theory and holography in systems with a high degree of ...
