Quark-gluon transport theory II. Color response and color correlations in a quark-gluon plasma

Annals of Physics, 1986
Starting from a classical kinetic description of the quark-gluon plasma, we derive in the linear response approximation the color response function near thermodynamic equilibrium. From its poles the dispersion relations for the collective color modes (one longitudinal and one transverse) are obtained.

Nature of the photon correlation function for quark-gluon plasma

Physical Review C, 1994
The correlation function for intensity interferometry of high energy photons emitted from an expanding quark-gluon plasma is examined. It is reiterated that the correlation function for identical bosons emitted from two point sources is given by 1+cos([Delta][ital k][center dot][Delta][ital x]) and will oscillate between 0 and 2, depending on the ...

Modification of the spectra of correlated charm-anticharm quark pairs in the quark-gluon plasma *

Chinese Physics C, 2020
Abstract Heavy quarks play an important role in probing the properties of strongly interacting quark-gluon plasma (QGP) created in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions.

Spectra and correlations in locally equilibrium hadron and quark-gluon systems

Nuclear Physics A, 1994
Abstract The single- and multi-particle inclusive boson spectra for locally equilibrium gas are studied using the method of statistical operator. The thermal Wick's theorem is generalized and the analytical solution of the problem in boost-invariant approach is found.

Long-range correlations and bulk viscosity in the quark-gluon plasma

Nuclear and Particle Physics Proceedings, 2016
Abstract We study long-distance features of the quark-gluon plasma, that are crucial for the dynamics of the system, with an infrared improved framework, the Gribov-Zwanziger quantization. Strikingly, at high temperature we uncover the presence of massless modes that violate the positivity of the quark spectral function.

On Multiplicity Difference Correlators in Second-Order Quark-Gluon Plasma Phase Transition

Chinese Physics Letters, 1999
The multiplicity difference correlators between two well-separated bins are studied in second-order quark-gluon plasma (QGP) phase transition within the Ginzburg-Landau model. For the case with very low mean multiplicities, an exponent γ is found, which has very weak dependence on the parameters of the model and can be used as a signal for the ...
