A divergence-free method to extract observables from correlation functions

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2015
Correlation functions provide information on the properties of mesons in vacuum and of hot nuclear matter. In this work, we present a new method to derive a well-defined spectral representation for correlation functions.

QGP Theory: Status and Perspectives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The current status of Quark-Gluon-Plasma Theory is reviewed. Special emphasis is placed on QGP signatures, the interpretation of current data and what to expect from RHIC in the near future.Comment: 20 pages, invited overview talk at the 4th ...

Holographic Multiquarks in the Quark-Gluon Plasma: A Review

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2011
We review the holographic multiquark states in the deconfined quark-gluon plasma. Nuclear matter can become deconfined by extremely high temperature and/or density. In the deconfined nuclear medium, bound states with colour degrees of freedom are allowed

The complex heavy-quark potential in an anisotropic quark-gluon plasma — Statics and dynamics

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We generalize a complex heavy-quark potential model from an isotropic QCD plasma to an anisotropic one by replacing the Debye mass m D with an anisotropic screening mass depending on the quark pair alignment with respect to the direction of anisotropy ...

Gluon Condensate and Non-Perturbative Quark-Photon Vertex [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We evaluate the quark-photon vertex non-perturbatively taking into account the gluon condensate at finite temperature. This vertex is related to the previously derived effective quark propagator by a QED like Ward-Takahashi identity.

Evolution of the mean jet shape and dijet asymmetry distribution of an ensemble of holographic jets in strongly coupled plasma

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
Some of the most important experimentally accessible probes of the quark- gluon plasma (QGP) produced in heavy ion collisions come from the analysis of how the shape and energy of sprays of energetic particles produced within a cone with a specified ...

Early thermalization of quark-gluon matter by elastic 3-to-3 scattering

open access: yes, 2013
The early thermalization is crucial to the quark-gluon plasma as a perfect liquid and results from many-body scattering. We calculate squared amplitudes for elastic parton-parton-parton scattering in perturbative QCD. Transport equations with the squared

Photon production from an anisotropic quark-gluon plasma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We calculate photon production from a quark-gluon plasma which is anisotropic in momentum space including the Compton scattering and quark/anti-quark annihilation processes.

Dissipative phenomena in quark-gluon plasmas [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1985
Transport coefficients of small-chemical-potential quark-gluon plasmas are estimated and dissipative corrections to the scaling hydrodynamic equations for ultrarelativistic nuclear collisions are studied. The absence of heat-conduction phenomena is clarified. Lower and upper bounds on the shear-viscosity coefficient are derived.
