Lepton-pair production in association with a bb¯ $$ b\overline{b} $$ pair and the determination of the W boson mass

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We perform a study of lepton-pair production in association with bottom quarks at the LHC based on the predictions obtained at next-to-leading order in QCD, both at fixed order and matched with a QCD parton shower.

Quantum GraviElectro Dynamics

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 538, Issue 1, January 2026.
The BRST invariant Lagrangian of the gravitationally interacting U(1)$U(1)$ gauge theory, namely the Quantum GraviElectro Dynamics (QGED). The Yan–Mills theory with the Hilbert–Einstein gravitational Lagrangian, namely the Yang–Mills–Utiyama (YMU) theory, is defined and quantised using the standard procedure. The theory is perturbatively renormalisable,

Model-independent bounds on R(J/ψ)

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We present a model-independent bound on RJ/ψ≡ℬℛBC+→J/ψτ+ντ/ℬℛBC+→J/ψµ+νµ $$ R\left(J/\psi \right)\equiv \mathrm{\mathcal{B}}\mathrm{\mathcal{R}}\left({B}_C^{+}\to J/\psi {\tau}^{+}{\nu}_{\tau}\right)/\mathrm{\mathcal{B}}\mathrm{\mathcal{R}}\left({B}_C^{+}

A random clockwork of flavor

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We propose a simple clockwork model of flavor which successfully generates the Standard Model flavor hierarchies from random order-one couplings. With very few parameters we achieve distributions of models in excellent agreement with observation.

The Purely Leptonic and Semileptonic Decays of Ds∗ Meson

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
With the potential prospects of the Ds∗ at high‐luminosity heavy‐flavor experiments in the future, we investigated the CKM‐favored and tree‐dominated leptonic Ds∗⟶ℓν¯ℓ,ℓ=e,μ,τ and semileptonic Ds∗⟶Mℓ′ν¯ℓ′ M=ϕ,η′,K and ℓ′=e,μ weak decays in the standard model (SM).

Impact of Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation on Biological Markers in Critically Ill Patients: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesCritical Care Research and Practice, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Purpose Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) has been increasingly used to preserve or restore neuromuscular function in critically ill patients. However, its effects on inflammatory biomarkers and its safety require to be fully elucidated.

Hierarchy plus anarchy in quark masses and mixings

open access: yes, 2002
We introduce a new parameterisation of the effect of unknown corrections from new physics on quark and lepton mass matrices. This parameterisation is used in order to study how the hierarchies of quark masses and mixing angles are modified by random ...

Correlation Patterns of Muon Flux With Vertical Atmospheric Profiles: Insights From Monte Carlo Simulations

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 130, Issue 11, November 2025.
Abstract The production, attenuation, and absorption of secondary cosmic rays (SCR) are influenced by atmospheric parameters such as air pressure and temperature. To reliably correlate SCR flux measurements with atmospheric ionization driven by energetic particle precipitation, these dependencies must be quantified.

Peccei-Quinn symmetry and nucleon decay in renormalizable SUSY SO(10)

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We suggest simple ways of implementing Peccei-Quinn (PQ) symmetry to solve the strong CP problem in renormalizable SUSY SO(10) models with a minimal Yukawa sector.

Flavour alignment of New Physics in light of the (g − 2) μ anomaly

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We investigate the flavour alignment conditions that New Physics (NP) models need to satisfy in order to address the (g − 2) μ anomaly and, at the same time, be consistent with the tight bounds from μ → eγ and τ → μγ.
