The \beta-term for D^* --> D \gamma within a heavy-light chiral quark model
We present a calculation of the \beta-term for D^* --> D gamma within a heavy-light chiral quark model. Within the model, soft gluon effects in terms of the gluon condensate with lowest dimension are included.

ABSTRACT Background and Purpose Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) has shown promise as an adjunct or alternative to traditional training, but its optimal application in chronic kidney disease (CKD) population remains uncertain. This study aimed to compare the effects of the NMES intradialytic protocol combined with a traditional cycling on ...

Vector-Interaction-Enhanced Bag Model
A commonly applied quark matter model in astrophysics is the thermodynamic bag model (tdBAG). The original MIT bag model approximates the effect of quark confinement, but does not explicitly account for the breaking of chiral symmetry, an important ...

Baryon form factors in a diquark-quark bound state description
Nucleon form factors are calculated in a relativistic diquark--quark picture based on the Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model. The nucleon wave function is obtained in a static approximation to the quark exchange interaction between the valence quark and the ...

MEMORIES OF MURRAY AND THE QUARK MODEL [PDF]
Life at Caltech with Murray Gell-Mann in the early 1960's is remembered. Our different paths to quarks, leading to different views of their reality, are described.

Abstract Aims Semaglutide, a GLP‐1 receptor agonist, has shown efficacy in promoting weight loss. However, limited data exist on its impact on lean mass, muscle function, and metabolic adaptations. The SEMALEAN study aims to evaluate these parameters in patients with obesity treated with Semaglutide (2.4 mg).

Nucleon Sigma Term and In-medium Quark Condensate in the Modified Quark-Meson Coupling Model
We evaluate the nucleon sigma term and in-medium quark condensate in the modified quark-meson coupling model which features a density-dependent bag constant. We obtain a nucleon sigma term consistent with its empirical value, which requires a significant

A set of particle representations, familiar from the Standard Model, collectively form a superalgebra. Those representations mirroring the behaviour of the Standard Model's gauge bosons, and three generations of fermions, are each included in this algebra, with exception only to those representations involving the top quark.

CP violation of quarks in A4 modular invariance
We discuss the quark mass matrices in the A4 modular symmetry, where the A4 triplet of Higgs is introduced for each up-quark and down-quark sectors, respectively.

ABSTRACT Objective This study compared overvaluation of weight and shape (OWS), drive for thinness (DT), and their combination (OWS‐DT) as alternative severity classifications for anorexia nervosa (AN) to the fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM‐5) severity classification.
