Quark-Resonance model [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
We construct an effective Lagrangian for low energy hadronic interactions through an infinite expansion in inverse powers of the low energy cutoff $\Lambda_\chi$ of all possible chiral invariant non-renormalizable interactions between quarks and mesons ...

The Genuine Resonance of Full-Charm Tetraquarks

open access: yesUniverse, 2021
In this work, the genuine resonance states of full-charm tetraquark systems with quantum numbers JPC=0++,1+−,2++ are searched in a nonrelativistic chiral quark model with the help of the Gaussian Expansion Method.

Investigating Fully Strange Tetraquark System with Positive Parity in a Chiral Quark Model

open access: yesUniverse, 2023
Motivated by the intriguing discovery of X(6900) by the LHCb collaboration, we undertake a comprehensive study of the ss¯ss¯ tetraquark system with positive parity, employing the Gaussian expansion within the chiral quark model method.

‘Don’t think that we die from AIDS’: Invisibilised uncertainty and global transgender health

open access: yesSociology of Health &Illness, Volume 45, Issue 1, Page 196-212, January 2023., 2023
Abstract The invisibilisation of social groups in health research and survey data is a source of medical uncertainty, long seen as a hallmark of the medical field. However, scholarship has not thoroughly assessed how medical uncertainty is structured by state‐level processes and global health agendas, especially for people beyond the Global North. This

Quark Models of the Nucleon–Nucleon Interaction

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2020
The present paper aims to provide a review of the relevance of quark degrees of freedom in the description of the nucleon-nucleon and, in general, of the baryon-baryon interaction.

Exercise training to increase tumour natural killer‐cell infiltration in men with localised prostate cancer: a randomised controlled trial

open access: yesBJU International, Volume 131, Issue 1, Page 116-124, January 2023., 2023
Objectives To explore the effects of preoperative high‐intensity interval training (HIIT) compared to usual care on tumour natural killer (NK)‐cell infiltration in men with localised prostate cancer (PCa), as NK‐cell infiltration has been proposed as one of the key mechanisms whereby exercise can modulate human tumours.

Lower hypothalamic volume with lower body mass index is associated with shorter survival in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 30, Issue 1, Page 57-68, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Background and purpose Weight loss in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is associated with faster disease progression and shorter survival. Decreased hypothalamic volume is proposed to contribute to weight loss due to loss of appetite and/or hypermetabolism.

Is distinct location evidence of distinct objects? Multilocation and the problem of parsimony

open access: yesAnalytic Philosophy, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract For an object to be multilocated is for it to wholly occupy disjoint spatial regions simultaneously. If multilocation is possible, it is possible that a multilocated particle is wholly located at 1080 distinct locations, such that it constitutes a particle‐for‐particle duplicate of the actual universe.

Valence quark distributions of light mesons in light-cone quark model

open access: yesSciPost Physics Proceedings, 2022
In order to investigate the tomographical structure of light pseudoscalar mesons, particularly, pion and kaon, we study the valence quark distribution function (PDF) and the generalized parton distributions (GPDs) using light-cone quark model (LCQM).
