Modelling the quark propagator [PDF]
The quark propagator is at the core of lattice hadron spectrum calculations as well as studies in other nonperturbative schemes. We investigate the quark propagator with an improved staggered action (Asqtad) and an improved gluon action, which provides good quality data down to small quark masses.

Transverse momentum and transverse momentum distributions in the MIT bag model
The typical transverse momentum of a quark in the proton is a basic property of any QCD based model of nucleon structure. However, calculations in phenomenological models typically give rather small values of transverse momenta, which are difficult to ...

UNQUENCHING THE QUARK MODEL [PDF]
We present the formalism for a new generation of unquenched quark models in which quark-antiquark pair effects are taken into account in an explicit form via a microscopic QCD-inspired quark-antiquark creation mechanism. No truncation in the sum over all the big tower of states is necessary since these states are automatically generated by means of ...

Quark Models of the Nucleon–Nucleon Interaction
The present paper aims to provide a review of the relevance of quark degrees of freedom in the description of the nucleon-nucleon and, in general, of the baryon-baryon interaction.

Valence quark distributions of light mesons in light-cone quark model
In order to investigate the tomographical structure of light pseudoscalar mesons, particularly, pion and kaon, we study the valence quark distribution function (PDF) and the generalized parton distributions (GPDs) using light-cone quark model (LCQM).

Quark mass density- and temperature- dependent model for bulk strange quark matter [PDF]
It is shown that the quark mass density-dependent model can not be used to explain the process of the quark deconfinement phase transition because the quark confinement is permanent in this model.

T-odd quark-gluon-quark correlation function in the light-front quark-diquark model
We have scrutinized the transverse momentum dependent quark-gluon-quark correlation function. We have utilized the light-front quark-diquark model to study the time-reversal-odd interaction-dependent twist-3 gluon distributions which we have obtained ...

Current-quark masses are compared to the rest masses allowed by the Helmholtz equation in a polar model. Within the uncertainty of the current u quark mass determination, the current quark mass coincides with the rest mass allowed by the Helmholtz equation in the polar model in accordance with the second root of the zero Neumann function.

The Quantum Nature of Lorentz Invariance
If the reality underlying classical physics is quantum in nature, then it is reasonable to assume that the transformations of fields, currents, energy, and momentum observed macroscopically are the result of averaging of symmetry groups acting in the ...

Covariant and heavy quark symmetric quark models [PDF]
There exist relativistic quark models (potential or MIT-bag) which satisfy the heavy quark symmetry (HQS) relations among meson decay constants and form factors. Covariant construction of the momentum eigenstates, developed here, can correct for spurious center-of-mass motion contributions.Proton form factor and M1 transitions in quarkonia are ...
