Impact of exercise training on tumour‐infiltrating T cells in human prostate cancer: A secondary analysis of a randomized controlled trial (PRO‐TEST)

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Exercise training reduces tumour growth by increasing tumour‐infiltrating T‐cell density in preclinical models. However, it remains unknown whether exercise training can modify intratumoural T cells in humans. The aim of this study was to compare the effects of an exercise training intervention versus control on human prostate intratumoural T ...

RELATIVISTIC QUARK MODEL

open access: yesFizika B : a journal of experimental and theoretical physics, 1999
A general Lorentz-covariant quark model of mesons, whose nonrelativistic limit corresponds to Isgur-Scora-Grinstein-Wise model, is constructed. It possesses the heavy quark symmetry and can be easily applied to calculation of form factors. Besides it can be engaged in novel tasks, such a the investigation of the two photon decay of scalar mesons.

The dual quark models

open access: yes, 2012
We briefly recall the historical environment around our 1971 and 1975 constructions of current-algebraic internal symmetry on the open string. These constructions included the introduction of world sheet fermions, the independent discovery of affine Lie algebra in physics (level one of affine su(3)), the first examples of the affine-Sugawara and coset ...

Combined effects of normobaric hypoxia and cold on respiratory system responses to high‐intensity exercise

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Cold temperatures (<−15°C) increase exercise‐induced bronchoconstriction (EIB), while hypoxic‐induced hyperventilation exacerbates respiratory muscle fatigue for a given exercising task. This study aimed to determine the individual and combined effects of cold and normobaric hypoxia on the respiratory system responses to high‐intensity ...

Bridging the chiral symmetry and confinement with singularity

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2020
We consider a holographic quark model where the confinement is a consequence of the quark condensate. Surprisingly, the equation of motion of our holographic model can be mapped to the old spin-less bag model.

Quark star matter at finite temperature in a quasiparticle model

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2021
We study the thermodynamic properties of asymmetric quark matter, large mass quark stars (QSs), and proto-quark stars (PQSs) within the quasiparticle model. Considering the effects of temperature within quasiparticle model can significantly influence the

Hadron Resonance Mass Spectrum and Lattice QCD Thermodynamics

open access: yes, 2003
We confront lattice QCD results on the transition from the hadronic phase to the quark--gluon plasma with hadron resonance gas and percolation models. We argue that for T < T_c the equation of state derived from Monte--Carlo simulations of (2+1) quark ...

Persistence of fatigue in the absence of pathophysiological mechanisms in some patients more than 2 years after the original SARS‐CoV‐2 infection

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Following an acute infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2), a substantial percentage of patients report the persistence of debilitating symptoms, often grouped in a syndrome termed ‘long COVID’. We sought to identify potential pathophysiological mechanisms responsible for the persistence, in some long COVID ...

The top quark width constrains from the single top quark production channel. [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2019
Using model independent and gauge invariant method proposed in previous studies we provide estimations on the top quark width measurement from the single top quark production channel and discuss the results of combining measurements from single and pair ...
