A 4 modular flavour model of quark mass hierarchies close to the fixed point τ = i∞
We study the possibility to generate the quark mass hierarchies as well as the CKM quark mixing and CP violation without fine-tuning in a quark flavour model with modular A 4 symmetry.

Quark Number Fluctuations in a Chiral Model at Finite Baryon Chemical Potential
We discuss the net quark and isovector fluctuations as well as off-diagonal quark flavor susceptibilities along the chiral phase transition line in the Nambu--Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model.

Predators and scavengers: Polar bears as marine carrion providers
Scavenging is a foraging strategy widely used across the animal kingdom and apex predators provide a large amount of energy in a food web by provisioning carrion. In the harsh environmental conditions of the Arctic, apex predators such as polar bears Ursus maritimus can provide scavenging opportunities for many species. Carrion can act as a buffer when

Spectroscopy of higher bottomonia
In this contribution, we discuss our recent unquenched quark model results for the spectrum of bb̄ mesons with self energy corrections, due to the coupling to the meson-meson continuum.

Extended Quark Potential Model from Random Phase Approximation
The quark potential model is extended to include the sea quark excitation using the random phase approximation (RPA). The effective quark interaction preserves the important Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) properties -- chiral symmetry and confinement ...

Performance of pyDock in 8th CAPRI: Energy‐Based Scoring Applied to Docking and AlphaFold Models
ABSTRACT The 8th CAPRI edition has shown a significant evolution in the field of protein–protein complex structure prediction. We have participated in all 11 targets proposed in this edition, involving domain‐domain, protein–protein, protein‐peptide, and protein‐DNA interactions, including homo‐ and hetero‐meric interfaces.

Dynamically generated magnetic moment in the Wigner-function formalism
We study how the mass and magnetic moment of the quarks are dynamically generated in nonequilibrium quark matter. We derive the equal-time transport and constraint equations for the quark Wigner function in a magnetized quark model and solve them in the ...

Hadron Resonance Mass Spectrum and Lattice QCD Thermodynamics
We confront lattice QCD results on the transition from the hadronic phase to the quark--gluon plasma with hadron resonance gas and percolation models. We argue that for T < T_c the equation of state derived from Monte--Carlo simulations of (2+1) quark ...

Hot nuclear matter in the modified quark-meson coupling model with quark-quark correlations [PDF]
Short-range quark-quark correlations in hot nuclear matter are examined within the modified quark-meson coupling model (MQMC) by adding repulsive scalar and vector quark-quark interactions.

A general Lorentz-covariant quark model of mesons, whose nonrelativistic limit corresponds to Isgur-Scora-Grinstein-Wise model, is constructed. It possesses the heavy quark symmetry and can be easily applied to calculation of form factors. Besides it can be engaged in novel tasks, such a the investigation of the two photon decay of scalar mesons.
