Meson decays in a quark model [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1998
A recent model of hadron states is extended to include meson decays. We find that the overall success of the model is quite good. Possible improvements to the model are suggested.

Proto-strange quark stars from density-dependent quark mass model

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
In this paper, we investigate the evolution of strange quark stars (SQS) from birth as proto-strange quark stars to maturity as stable SQSs at a zero temperature.

Understanding pentaquarks with various quark models [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2004
The pentaquark state recently discovered has been studied with three quark models which either fit the nucleon spin structure or the $NN$ scattering. A minimum $ ^+$ mass of 1620 MeV is obtained both for the ${1/2}^\pm$ state. The mixing of various color structure configurations, which would reduce the mass of the penta-quark state, should be taking ...

Quark structure of chiral solitons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
There is a prejudice that the chiral soliton model of baryons is something orthogonal to the good old constituent quark models. In fact, it is the opposite: the spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking in strong interactions explains the appearance of massive constituent quarks of small size thus justifying the constituent quark models, in the first place.

Calculation of some properties of the vacuum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In this article, we calculate the dressed quark propagator with the flat bottom potential in the framework of the rain-bow Schwinger-Dyson equation, which is determined by mean field approximation of the global colour model lagrangian.

Quark star matter at finite temperature in a quasiparticle model

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2021
We study the thermodynamic properties of asymmetric quark matter, large mass quark stars (QSs), and proto-quark stars (PQSs) within the quasiparticle model. Considering the effects of temperature within quasiparticle model can significantly influence the

T-odd quark-gluon-quark correlation function in the diquark model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We study the transverse momentum dependent quark-gluon-quark correlation function. Using a spectator diquark model, we calculate the eight time-reversal-odd interaction-dependent twist-3 quark distributions appearing in the decomposition of the transverse momentum dependent quark-gluon-quark correlator.

Strange quark matter in a chiral SU(3) quark mean field model [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev. C67 (2003) 015210, 2002
We apply the chiral SU(3) quark mean field model to investigate strange quark matter. The stability of strange quark matter with different strangeness fraction is studied. The interaction between quarks and vector mesons destabilizes the strange quark matter.

Top Quark Physics at the Tevatron

open access: yes, 2011
We review the field of top-quark physics with an emphasis on experimental techniques. The role of the top quark in the Standard Model of particle physics is summarized and the basic phenomenology of top-quark production and decay is introduced.
