Understanding pentaquarks with various quark models [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2004
The pentaquark state recently discovered has been studied with three quark models which either fit the nucleon spin structure or the $NN$ scattering. A minimum $ ^+$ mass of 1620 MeV is obtained both for the ${1/2}^\pm$ state. The mixing of various color structure configurations, which would reduce the mass of the penta-quark state, should be taking ...

Consistency of the light-front quark model with chiral symmetry in the pseudoscalar meson analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We discuss the link between the chiral symmetry of QCD and the numerical results of the light-front quark model (LFQM), analyzing both the two-point and three-point functions of a pseudoscalar meson from the perspective of the vacuum fluctuation ...

QUARK AND GLUON CONDENSATES IN THE QUARK–MESON COUPLING MODEL [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 1998
Using the quark–meson coupling (QMC) model, we study the density dependence of the quark and gluon condensates in nuclear matter. We show that the change of the quark condensate is mainly driven by the scalar field in the medium and that the reduction of the quark condensate is suppressed at high density, even in the mean-field approximation.

Masses of doubly heavy-quark baryons in an extended chromomagnetic model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We extend the chromomagnetic model by further considering the effect of color interaction. The effective mass parameters between quark pairs ($m_{qq}$ or $m_{q\bar{q}}$) are introduced to account both the effective quark masses and the color interaction ...

Nuclear Physics in the Era of Quantum Computing and Quantum Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, EarlyView.
The use of QML in the realm of nuclear physics at low energy is almost nonexistent. Three examples of the use of quantum computing and quantum machine in nuclear physics are presented: the determination of the phase/shape in nuclear models, the calculation of the ground state energy, and the identification of particles in nuclear physics experiments ...

Semileptonic decayb → c + τ + ¯ in the covariant confined quark model

open access: yes, 2015
ντ with particular emphasis on the lepton helicity flip and scalar contributions which vanish for zero lepton masses. We calculate the total rate, the differential decay distributions, the longitudinal and transverse polarization of the daughter baryon

Interactive effects of plant litter type and yak excrement on litter decomposition in a shrub‐encroached alpine meadow

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, EarlyView.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract In the plant community with a shrub–grass mosaic, the main types of litter include herbaceous litter and its mixed forms with shrub leaves and stems. However, the quantitative relationship between the litter composition type and the litter decomposition, as well as how ...

On the top-quark width measurement using a combination of resonant and non resonant cross sections.

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
Top quark width measurement is important and complex task. Most measurements are done in assumption of the SM top quark interactions. We would like to discuss model independent way of measuring the top quark width.
