Impact of Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation on Biological Markers in Critically Ill Patients: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesCritical Care Research and Practice, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Purpose Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) has been increasingly used to preserve or restore neuromuscular function in critically ill patients. However, its effects on inflammatory biomarkers and its safety require to be fully elucidated.

Contraction of cold neutron star due to in the presence a quark core

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
Motivated by importance of the existence of quark matter on structure of neutron star. For this purpose, we use a suitable equation of state (EoS) which include three different parts: (i) a layer of hadronic matter, (ii) a mixed phase of quarks and ...

SCQGP in quark stars

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal C, 2012
From an analogy with non-relativistic degenerate QED plasma we make an estimate of the coupling strength of QGP hypothesized to be present in compact star interiors. At densities ranging from 3ρ 0–10ρ 0 (normal nuclear density ρ 0=0.16 fm−3), quark matter is found to be strongly to intermediately coupled.

Neutron-quark Stars: Discerning Viable Alternatives for the Higher-density Part of the Equation of State of Compact Stars

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
We investigate binary neutron star (BNS) mergers using general-relativistic numerical simulations with hadronic and hybrid equations of state (EOSs), incorporating the latest observations and theoretical constraints.

Neutron Star masses from the Field Correlator Method Equation of State

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
We analyse the hadron-quark phase transition in neutron stars by confronting the hadronic Equation of State (EoS) obtained according to the microscopic Brueckner-Hartree-Fock many body theory, with the quark matter EoS derived within the Field Correlator
