On the conversion of neutron stars into quark stars
The possible existence of two families of compact stars, neutron stars and quark stars, naturally leads to a scenario in which a conversion process between the two stellar objects occurs with a consequent release of energy of the order of $10^{53}$ erg.

Strongly interacting quark matter in massive quark stars
Abstract This paper investigates the properties of strongly coupled matter at high baryon densities (ρ B) in quark stars (QSs). The QS model is based on the density-dependent quark mass (DDQM) framework, modified DDQM (MDDQM) by enhancing the single-gluon interaction to generate higher repulsive pressure.

The quark strange star in the enlarged Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model [PDF]
The strange quark star is investigated within the enlarged SU(3) Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model. The stable quark star can exist until a maximal configuration with ρm = 3.1 × 1015 g cm -3 with Mm = 1.61 M⊙ and Rm = 8.74 km is reached. Strange quarks appear for

Neutron Star masses from the Field Correlator Method Equation of State
We analyse the hadron-quark phase transition in neutron stars by confronting the hadronic Equation of State (EoS) obtained according to the microscopic Brueckner-Hartree-Fock many body theory, with the quark matter EoS derived within the Field Correlator
