DISTINGUISHING BARE QUARK STARS FROM NEUTRON STARS [PDF]
Observations to date cannot distinguish neutron stars from self-bound bare quark stars on the basis of their gross physical properties such as their masses and radii alone. However, their surface luminosity and spectral characteristics can be significantly different.

Diquark condensation effects on hot quark star configurations [PDF]
The equation of state for quark matter is derived for a nonlocal, chiral quark model within the mean field approximation. We investigate the effects of a variation of the formfactors of the interaction on the phase diagram of quark matter.

Generic Conditions for Stable Hybrid Stars
We study the mass-radius curve of hybrid stars, assuming a single first-order phase transition between nuclear and quark matter, with a sharp interface between the quark matter core and nuclear matter mantle.

Binary Neutron-Star Mergers with a Crossover Transition to Quark Matter
This paper summarizes recent work on the possible gravitational-wave signal from binary neutron-star mergers in which there is a crossover transition to quark matter.

A neutral anisotropic quark star model with conformal symmetry [PDF]
New solution for the Einstein field equations satisfying a neutral anisotropic quark star object is generated. The quark linear equation of state together with the conformal Killing vector (CKV) are used to investigate the behavior and properties of ...

GW190814: Circumstantial Evidence for Up-Down Quark Star [PDF]
Within a confining quark matter model which considers phenomenologically the quark confinement and asymptotic freedom as well as the chiral symmetry restoration and quark deconfinement at high baryon density, we find that if the up-down quark matter ($ud$

Generalized Beth–Uhlenbeck Entropy Formula From the Φ‐Derivable Approach
ABSTRACT We derive a generalized Beth–Uhlenbeck formula for the entropy of a dense fermion system with strong two‐particle correlations, including scattering states and bound states. We work within the Φ‐derivable approach to the thermodynamic potential.

PSR B1257+12: a quark star with planets? [PDF]
A recent observation has shown that PSR B1257+12 could have quite small X-ray emitting area, only about 2000 m(2), which is more than three orders smaller than the canonical polar cap size. We suggest here that PSR B1257+12 could be a low-mass quark star

Abstract Aims Amyloid cardiomyopathy is caused by the deposition of light chain (AL) or transthyretin amyloid (ATTR) fibrils, that leads to a restrictive cardiomyopathy, often resulting in heart failure (HF) with preserved or reduced ejection fraction.
