Regulators of an infinite family of the simplest quartic function fields

open access: yes, 2018
We explicitly find regulators of an infinite family {Lm} of the simplest quartic function fields with a parameter m in a polynomial ring Fq [t], where Fq is the finite field of order q with odd characteristic.

Signed Projective Cubes, a Homomorphism Point of View

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The (signed) projective cubes, as a special class of graphs closely related to the hypercubes, are on the crossroad of geometry, algebra, discrete mathematics and linear algebra. Defined as Cayley graphs on binary groups, they represent basic linear dependencies.

High Efficiency NIR Luminescence Beyond 900 nm Through Promoting Cr3+ Pair Generation in Sr3Zr2O7 Layered Perovskite

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A Cr3+/La3+ codoped Sr3Zr2O7 NIR phosphor showing luminescence at ∼960 nm with high IQE/EQE (92.4%/57.5%) and good thermal stability was developed. La3+ stabilizes Cr3+ and induces Cr3+ pairs, enabling efficient blue‐to‐NIR conversion for underwater wireless optical communication.

Lindbladian dissipation of strongly-correlated quantum matter

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2022
We propose the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev Lindbladian as a paradigmatic solvable model of dissipative many-body quantum chaos. It describes N strongly coupled Majorana fermions with random all-to-all interactions, with unitary evolution given by a quartic ...

GENERALIZED ULAM-HYERS STABILITIES OF QUARTIC DERIVATIONS ON BANACH ALGEBRAS

open access: yes, 2010
Let A , B be two rings. A mapping δ : A → B is called quartic derivation, if δ is a quartic function satisfies δ(ab) = a4δ(b) + δ(a)b4 for all a, b ∈ A.

Status and future of seed conservation of threatened plants in the post‐2020 era

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Ambitious targets have been set to backup seeds of threatened plants by the global strategy for plant conservation (GSPC), but it is unclear in how far these targets have been met and how seed collection should be organized to meet future challenges. Here, we provide an overview of the status of 44 countries in achieving seed conservation targets.

A Rail Fault Diagnosis Method Based on Quartic C2 Hermite Improved Empirical Mode Decomposition Algorithm

open access: yesSensors, 2019
For compound fault detection of high-speed rail vibration signals, which presents a difficult problem, an early fault diagnosis method of an improved empirical mode decomposition (EMD) algorithm based on quartic C2 Hermite interpolation is presented ...

A unified analytical framework for Mössbauer synchrotron sources

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, EarlyView.
We present a unified analytical framework for Mössbauer synchrotron and X‐ray free‐electron laser sources that provides exact, rotationally invariant expressions for resonance energies and transition probabilities in mixed magnetic dipole–electric quadrupole interactions without Hamiltonian diagonalization.

The zeta function of the quartic oscillator

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 1980
Abstract We investigate the levels of the quartic oscillator ( − d 2 d q 2 + q 4 ) by means of the associated zeta function. By using several versions of the semiclassical approach, we prove exact results concerning the locations of the real zeros and of the poles of that function, the residues of which are essentially the ...

Charged Black Holes in Einsteinian Quartic Gravity

open access: yes, 2022
In this paper, we studied Einsteinian quartic gravity minimally coupled to electrodynamics in four dimensions. First, by variation action, we obtain the field equations, and by integration, we obtain a nonlinear third-order differential equation for the ...
