Colloidal CuFeS2 Nanocrystals: Intermediate Fe d-Band Leads to High Photothermal Conversion Efficiency [PDF]
We describe the colloidal hot-injection synthesis of phase-pure nanocrystals (NCs) of a highly abundant mineral, chalcopyrite (CuFeS2). Absorption bands centered at around 480 and 950 nm, spanning almost the entire visible and near infrared regions ...

Purely wavelength- and amplitude-modulated quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy
We report here on a quartz-enhanced photoacoustic (QEPAS) sensor employing a quantum cascade laser (QCL) structure capable of operating in a pure amplitude or wavelength modulation configuration. The QCL structure is composed of three electrically independent sections: Gain, Phase (PS) and Master Oscillator (MO).

Abstract Partial discharge (PD) detection is considered one of the most crucial and effective methods for identifying defects in electrical equipment. Consequently, investigating advanced and efficient PD monitoring techniques is essential for the development of gas‐insulated equipment (GIE) and the construction of ultra‐high‐voltage (UHV) networks ...

Novel merocyanine derivatives with a strong diphenyl‐dihydrophenazine donor and a series of strong electron acceptors were developed. The indanone and indandione acceptor units were modified by dicyanovinylene groups to tune acceptor strength. Among these derivatives, DPPZ‐IDD realized an ultranarrow electrochemical gap of 0.93 eV and an optical band ...

Photoacoustics Modelling using Amplitude Mode Expansion Method in a Multiscale T-cell Resonator
The photoacoustic (PA) effect consisting of the generation of an acoustic signal based on the absorption of light has already demonstrated its potential for various spectroscopic applications for both gaseous and solid samples. The signal produced during

Glutathione‐functionalized gold nanoparticles are shown to reduce radicals in SH‐SY5Y and C6 cells. Conjugation of galactose to the outer shell improves internalization through the GLUT transporter, thus providing a smart multivalent system able to reduce oxidative stress in neuroblastoma and rat glioma cells.
