Self‐Assembled Gallium Sulfide (GaS) Heterostructures Enabling Efficient Water Splitting and Selective Ammonia Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Gallium sulfide (GaS) forms self‐assembled heterostructures with its native oxide, exhibiting high performance in water splitting and ultrasensitive and selective ammonia detection. Surface defects and controlled oxidation enhance catalytic activity and sensing response.

Understanding Postdeposition Treatments of Hole‐Transporting Self‐Assembling Molecules for Perovskite/Silicon Tandem Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of postdeposition treatments on the formation of self‐assembling (mono)layers commonly utilized as hole transport layers in perovskite‐based solar cells is thoroughly investigated. The implementation of a washing step and an annealing step at temperatures exceeding the current literature standards leads to an enhanced layer quality and ...

Cu2O/Cu Chiral Catalysts for Highly Selective Solar‐Assisted CO2‐to‐CO Electroreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
To address the poor target‐product selectivity of the eCO2RR, breakthrough approaches based on the chiral‐induced spin selectivity phenomenon enhance the Faradaic efficiency (FE) for target hydrocarbons, such as CO. To induce this spin polarization strategy in Cu2O/Cu catalysts, it is proposed using amine‐based intermediate organic molecules with ...

The occurence of crystaline kalcit in the open pit in Kremnica - Lúèky [PDF]

open access: yesActa Montanistica Slovaca, 2000
The occurence of crystaline located occuiring in pyroxenic andesite, is situated in the open pit for building materials near to Kremnica in Žiar n/ Hronom district. Calcit in a paragenesis with quartz creates different (in the form and size). Its genesis

Surface Wrinkling of Plasma‐Exposed PDMS is Caused by Water Vapor Sorption: An Optical Environmental Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Wrinkling of soft materials, such as polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), underpins a myriad of technologies. Plasma‐oxidation of PDMS induces spontaneous wrinkling, which is canonically attributed to thermal expansion‐contraction of bilayers. Employing experiments and modelling, it is demonstrated that sorption of water vapor is instead responsible for ...

Thermoluminescence Behavior and Kinetic Analysis of Quartz Under Gamma Irradiation

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics
This study investigates the luminescence characteristics of quartz samples irradiated with a 60Co gamma source across a dose range of 57 to 570 Gy. Prior to irradiation, the samples were annealed at 650°C for two hours.
