This review provides a detailed record of recent advances in the field of determining protein conformation and orientation on various interfaces using sum frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy. We delve deep into how the addition of the Hamiltonian spectral matching formalism, isotope labeling, and Molecular Dynamics simulations has allowed us ...

ABSTRACT Biocompatibility of a biosensor can be achieved by grafting polymer brushes onto a solid surface. These brushes must be able to attract specific analytes or repel unwanted entities. This is obtained with weak polyelectrolyte polymer brushes that shrink or swell depending on external stimuli. In this study, the conformation of polyacrylic acid (

The study demonstrates the miniaturization of organic polariton VCSELs based on BSBCz. Using ultra‐thin shadow masks, isolated microcavities as small as 5 µm are fabricated. These devices achieved record‐low lasing fluences (0.21 µJ/cm2), far below reference devices.

ABSTRACT Biogenic amines, primarily histamine, cadaverine, and putrescine, are important indicators of microbial spoilage and potential health risks. This review summarizes established and novel analytical methods for quantitatively determining biogenic amines in fish and fish products, along with their limits of detection in these complex matrices ...

Vapor‐deposited ionic liquid films on Au‐coated QCMs evolve from confined, rigidly coupled layers to viscoelastic, bulk‐like overlayers as coverage increases. This transition explains the loss of QCM sensitivity and demonstrates how nanoscale confinement, substrate roughness, and IL properties govern reliable mass detection.

Investigation of a liquid-fed water resistojet plume [PDF]
Measurements of mass flux and flow angle were taken throughout the forward flow region of the exhaust of a liquid-fed water resistojet using a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM). The resistojet operated at a mass flow rate of 0.1 g/s with a power input of

Advanced quartz crystal microbalance techniques applied to calixarene sensing membranes. [PDF]
Several Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) measurement techniques in conjunction with a series of calix[4]resorcinarene sensing membranes have been successfully exploited for the detection of volatile organic solvents at vapour concentrations below their lower explosive level. The impedance analysis technique involves the measurement of the electrical ...
