Journal of Applied Physics, 1983The triboluminescent spectra of a variety of glasses and of crystalline quartz were measured while specimens were cut with a rotating diamond-impregnated saw blade. The spectra, which resemble the emission of a blackbody radiator, were recorded using an image-intensifier spectrograph.

Microgranular Heterogeneity of Quartz Glass
Glass and Ceramics, 2019A physico-chemical analysis is performed of technologies for producing quartz grit and making glass from it. Experimental production of glass from grit was performed. The conditions of melting made it possible to form microgranular inhomogeneity with a volumetric network of boundaries in a glass ingot decorated with impurities.

Kinetics of dry grinding of quartz glass (fused quartz)
Refractories, 1970We studied the kinetics of dry grinding of quartz glass in a ball mill. We determined the dispersion of the powders at different stages of grinding and showed that it is markedly retarded with the attainment of a specific surface in the powder of about 14,000 cm2/g.
