Effects of acclimation temperature with acute temperature, reduced salinity or lowered dissolved oxygen are significant stressors to physiological and biological responses of adult Pāua. Pāua have a limited ability to acclimate to temperatures above 18 °C.

Abstract Porosity and permeability in crystalline shield basement are commonly assumed to be low, yet some fault zones sustain fluid circulation over kilometer scales. Here we quantify multiscale fault‐zone connectivity at Kivetty, central Finland, by integrating legacy deep‐borehole data, including packer tests, downhole logs, and a long‐term multi ...

Abstract Magnesite (MgCO3) is a magnesium (Mg) carbonate mineral that records the aqueous environmental conditions of its formation. On Earth, magnesite forms in metamorphic, diagenetic or pedogenic environments, and distinguishing between these environments is critical for understanding the fluid chemistry during magnesite precipitation. Mg carbonates

Abstract Widespread plagioclase detections on Mars using orbital visible to near infrared (VNIR) reflectance spectra have led to multiple interpretations of “feldspathic” terrain, ranging from ancient crustal material and evolved plutons to volcanic lava flows.

Abstract We present evidence of a previously unrecognized east‐west‐trending normal fault, named the Parguera Fault, in southwest Puerto Rico. The fault is located at the northwestern edge of seismicity from the southwest Puerto Rico seismic sequence that began in 2019, near the coastal town of La Parguera.

Abstract The mechanisms by which new subduction zones form remain highly debated. Here we use Permo‐Triassic strata to evaluate potential mechanisms for initiation of the Talkeetna‐Bonanza Arc of the northern North American Cordillera. New mapping and analysis of Permian and Upper Triassic strata on the Alaska Peninsula suggest a period of uplift ...

Abstract The study of offshore salt‐bearing rifted margins is commonly limited by seismic data resolution. Through the incorporation of salt‐bearing rifted margins in orogenic belts, some field analogs are still present at the surface. The Cotiella Massif, in the Southern Pyrenees, is an exceptional outcrop of the former Bay of Biscay–Pyrenean Atlantic

Dolomitic Microfossil Preservation in a Cryogenian Microbial Reef, Arkaroola (South Australia)
ABSTRACT Microbial dolostones that now form the Arkaroola reef, northern Adelaide Rift Complex, and were deposited during the Cryogenian interglacial period, display a wide range of meso‐scale stromatolite morphotypes in outcrop. Microcharacterisation involving optical microscopy, combined scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy
