We present the multiwavelength spectral energy distributions (SEDs) for 65 luminous broad absorption line (BAL) quasars with redshifts 1.55 ≲ z ≲ 3.50 from the Gemini Near Infrared Spectrograph–Distant Quasar Survey (GNIRS-DQS).

If quasars are distributed cosmologically according to their red-shifts, then it is expected that their distribution on the sky will be very close to random, because it is in that case an average over an enormous range in distance. Most studies find no significant clustering.

A Surprising Excess of Radio Emission in Extremely Stable Quasars: A Unique Clue to Jet Launching?
Quasars are generally divided into jetted radio-loud and nonjetted radio-quiet ones, but why only 10% of quasars are radio-loud has been puzzling for decades.
