Optimization of 3D‐Printed Structured Packings—Current State and Future Developments

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
This paper gives an overview about structured packing development for distillation, surveying heuristic development cycles, computational fluid dynamics simulations, and additive manufacturing techniques. The emerging application of shape optimization to improve packings is emphasized, and its benefits, impact, and limitations are discussed.

Stability Evaluation and Parametric Optimization of Coal‐Concrete Composite Bearing Systems Under Mine‐Water‐Induced Deterioration: Experiments and FEINN Analysis

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Mine‐water immersion tests reveal pronounced coal weakening (vs. minor concrete degradation), identifying coal pillars as the stability‐limiting component in composite dams. A coupled FEINN framework quantifies extreme‐pressure stability and ranks multi‐parameter designs via a normalized multi‐indicator scheme, enabling optimized dam configuration for ...

ROUGH ABEL STATISTICAL QUASI CAUCHY OF TRIPLE SEQUENCES

open access: yesJournal of Science and Arts, 2021
In this paper, we investigated some basic properties of rough I-convergence of a triple sequence spaces of fuzzy in three dimensional matrix spaces which are not earlier. In addition, it was studied the set of all rough I-limits of a triple sequence spaces and also the relation between analytic ness and rough I-core of a triple sequence spaces.

Wafer‐Scale Deterministic Fabrication of Axis‐Ratio–Engineered Silicon Nanoparticles for On‐Resonance Electric–Magnetic Dipole Interference

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Wafer‐scale top‐down fabrication yields silicon nanoparticles with exceptional uniformity (CV 1.7%–2.4%), enabling deterministic axis‐ratio tuning. At AR ≈$\approx$ 2.1, electric–magnetic dipoles overlap on‐resonance, producing near‐Kerker forward scattering (F/B ≈$\approx$ 12.5).

A new smooth failure criterion for concrete inspired by Lubliner's condition

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract A new failure criterion with 10 parameters is proposed, based on Lubliner's idea of joining two Drucker–Prager cones. The novelty lies in the way of introducing deviatoric shape variation: through two Podgórski's functions. This feature allows for improving plane stress cross‐section's compatibility with experimental data.

Stochastically positive structures on Weyl algebras. The case of quasi-free states

open access: yes, 1997
We consider quasi-free stochastically positive ground and thermal states on Weyl algebras in Euclidean time formulation. In particular, we obtain a new derivation of a general form of thermal quasi-free state and give conditions when such state is ...

$delta$-Quasi Cauchy Sequences

open access: yes, 2010
Recently, a concept of forward continuity and a concept of forward compactness are introduced in the senses that a function $f$ is forward continuous if $\lim_{n\to\infty} f(x_{n})=0$ whenever $\lim_{n\to\infty} x_{n}=0$,\; and a subset $E$ of $\textbf{R}$ is forward compact if any sequence $\textbf{x}=(x_{n})$ of points in $E$ has a subsequence ...

Investigating Breathing Dynamics of a 110 kV Oil‐Immersed Transformer Using Thermal‐Fluid‐Structure Interaction Modelling

open access: yesHigh Voltage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The breathing system of an oil‐immersed transformer is of vital importance for maintaining equilibrium between internal and external pressures, with any malfunction potentially disrupting the transformer's stable operation. This study develops a thermal–fluid–structure interaction (TFSI) model to simulate the breathing phenomenon in a 110 kV ...

Heuristic parameter-choice rules for convex variational regularization based on error estimates

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, we are interested in heuristic parameter choice rules for general convex variational regularization which are based on error estimates. Two such rules are derived and generalize those from quadratic regularization, namely the Hanke-Raus ...

Real‐Time Conformal Maps and Parameterizations

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract We present a simple algorithm to conformally map between two simple and bounded planar domains based on the concept of harmonic measure, which is a conformal invariant. With suitable preprocessing, the algorithm is fast enough to compute all possible conformal maps (having three real degrees of freedom) between the two domains in real time in
