Optimizing quasi-cyclic spatially coupled LDPC codes by eliminating harmful objects

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2023
It is well known that some harmful objects in the Tanner graph of low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes have a negative impact on their error correction performance under iterative message-passing decoding.

A Bound on the Minimum Distance of Quasi-cyclic Codes [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics, 2012
We give a general lower bound for the minimum distance of $q$-ary quasi-cyclic codes of length $m\ell$ and index $\ell$, where $m$ is relatively prime to $q$. The bound involves the minimum distances of constituent codes of length $\ell$ as well as the minimum distances of certain cyclic codes of length $m$ which are related to the fields over which ...

Construction of Quasi-Cyclic Product Codes

open access: yesCoRR, 2015
Linear quasi-cyclic product codes over finite fields are investigated. Given the generating set in the form of a reduced Gr{ö}bner basis of a quasi-cyclic component code and the generator polynomial of a second cyclic component code, an explicit expression of the basis of the generating set of the quasi-cyclic product code is given.

Water Permeates and Plasticizes Amorphous Carbon Dots: Unraveling the Inner Accessibility of the Nanoparticles by Glass Transition Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.

LDPC code reconstruction based on algorithm of finding low weight code-words

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2017
LDPC code reconstruction without a candidate set is one of the tough problems in channel code reconstruction.First, theoretical analysis was provided for the number of received code-vectors needed for the reconstruction, and a lower bound was derived. Then ...

Tough, Ductile, and Strong Hard‐Soft Cementitious Composite Enabled by Multi‐Material Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Drawing inspiration from the layered hard‐soft architecture found in sea sponges, this work establishes a new framework for architected cementitious composites (ACC) through multi‐material additive manufacturing (MMAM) process. The integration of mortar and elastomer phases into layered architectures enables synergistic toughening mechanisms, including
