C*-algebra valued quasi metric spaces and fixed point results with an application

open access: yesApplied General Topology, 2022
In this paper, we introduce the notion of C*-algebra valued quasi metric space to generalize the notion of C*-algebra valued metric space and investigate the topological properties besides proving some core fixed point results. Finally, we employ our one

Slip Localization Intensification Mediated by Grain Boundary Sliding in a Polycrystalline Nickel‐Based Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The temperature dependence of fatigue behavior in nickel‐based superalloys is investigated through high‐resolution measurements of plastic localization. While increasing temperature reduces localization and enhances fatigue performance in René 88DT, Inconel 718 exhibits a sharp degradation at intermediate temperature due to intensified slip ...

Creep‐Induced Microstructural Evolution in an A2‐B2 Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A 27.3Ta‐27.3Mo‐27.3Ti‐8Cr‐10Al (at.%) refractory high‐entropy alloy with precipitation‐strengthened A2‐B2 microstructure was studied by creep tests at 1030°C, which demonstrate a transition in deformation mechanisms in the range of 100–150 MPa applied stress. This is associated with changes in dislocation–precipitate interactions. Relevant deformation

Workflow for Design of Experiments‐Based Modeling of Species Transport and Growth Kinetics in GaN Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

A metric uniformization model for the Quasi-Fuchsian space [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
We introduce and study a novel uniformization metric model for the quasi-Fuchsian space QF(S) of a closed oriented surface S, defined through a class of C-valued bilinear forms on S, called Bers metrics, which coincide with hyperbolic Riemannian metrics ...

On ω-Interpolative Berinde Weak Contraction in Quasi-Partial b-Metric Space

open access: yesInternational Journal of Analysis and Applications, 2021
The aim of this paper is to introduce interpolative weak contraction in the notion of Berinde weak operator in quasi-partial b-metric space and to extend and generalize fixed point results by adopting the condition of ω-admissibility.

The Katětov construction modified for a T0T0-quasi-metric space

open access: yes, 2012
We discuss the existence and uniqueness of a T0T0-quasi-metric space qUqU defined by the following three conditions: (i) qUqU is bicomplete and supseparable, (ii) every isometry between two finite subspaces of qUqU extends to an isometry of qUqU onto ...

Low Cycle Repetitive Loading of Ti‐6Al‐4V‐Epoxy Composite Lattice Structures for Enhanced Energy Dissipation and Damage Tolerance

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Composite Ti–6Al–4V–epoxy lattice structures are additively manufactured and epoxy infiltrated for cyclic loading. At low lattice volume fractions, hybridization produces synergistic gains in stiffness and energy dissipation. At higher volume fractions, synergy diminishes, although composites still exceed metallic lattices in specific energy ...

The B-completion of a T0-quasi-metric space

open access: yes, 2009
We continue our study of the conjugate invariant method for completing an arbitrary T0-quasi-metric space which we have introduced in an earlier article under the name of the B-completion.

Influence of Geometric Design on Mechanical Performance of Auxetic Metastructure

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Strategic geometric reinforcement transforms auxetic performance. This study evaluates 3D‐printed arrowhead metastructures, revealing that a modified design with local ring reinforcement suppresses premature failure to achieve superior energy absorption and structural efficiency.
