Integrated Field‐Free SOT Domain‐Wall Synapses and MTJ Stochastic Neurons for Hardware Boltzmann Machines

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Field‐free spin‐orbit torque domain‐wall synapses integrated with stochastic MTJ neurons enable compact hardware Boltzmann machines. Leveraging intrinsic stochasticity and multi‐level conductance, the system achieves efficient probabilistic learning with high accuracy, demonstrating a scalable spintronic platform for energy‐efficient edge AI.

A Quasi-Static Model for Craquelure Patterns [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We consider the quasi-static evolution of a brittle layer on a stiff substrate; adhesion between layers is assumed to be elastic. Employing a phase-field approach we obtain the quasi-static evolution as the limit of time-discrete evolutions computed by an alternate minimization scheme. We study the limit evolution, providing a qualitative discussion of

Historical Foundation and Practical Guideline for Ferroelectric Switching Kinetic Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The P and U pulses in the conventional PUND measurements are not identical because of the interplay between switching current and the measurement circuit components. This circuit effect can lead to a shift in polarization transients and misinterpreted physics in the switching kinetics.

Scaling laws for quasi-static granular sand at critical state

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao
The critical state theory of soils describes the correspondence between effective stress, shear strength and soil density. Numerous soil mechanics experiments have also revealed a correlation between soil strength and loading rate.

Quasistaticity of the process of dynamic strain of soils

open access: yesИнженерно-строительный журнал, 2019
Mechanical characteristics of soil under static and dynamic strains are determined experimentally. Their accuracy and reliability depends on quasi-static nature of strain process in soil.

Massive Stars in Quasi-Static Equlibrium.

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 1963
The binding energy properties of quasistatic solutions to the equations of general relativity for star-like condensations of 10/sup 2/ to 10 solar masses are presented. With increasing central temperature and decreasing radius, the binding energy first increases through positive values, passes through a maximum, and then decreases rapidly to large ...

Tuning Separator Chemistry: Improving Zn Anode Compatibility via Functionalized Chitin Nanofibers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nanochitin derived from waste shrimp shells is used to fabricate separators for aqueous zinc batteries. By tuning the density of amine and carboxylic surface groups, water mobility at the separator interface is controlled, promoting uniform zinc deposition, suppressing dendrite growth, and enabling exceptional cycling stability exceeding 2000 h ...

Anisotropy in Quasi-Static Magnetohydrodynamic Turbulence [PDF]

open access: yesReports on Progress in Physics, 2017
In this review we summarise the current status of the quasi-static magnetohydrodynamic turbulence. The energy spectrum is steeper than Kolmogorov's $k^{-5/3}$ spectrum due to the decrease of the kinetic energy flux with wavenumber $k$ as a result of Joule dissipation. The spectral index decreases with the increase of interaction parameter.

Reduced Graphene Oxide Transparent Electrodes Enabling Compact Soft Tunable Lenses

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
By spray‐coating an elastomeric membrane with reduced graphene oxide (rGO) at various surface densities, elastomeric actuators are manufactured. Electro‐mechano‐optical characterizations show the suitability of rGO as an effective material for compliant, semi‐transparent electrodes, enabling soft electrically tunable lenses with a compact form factor ...

Efficient Jacobian Computations for Complex ECT/EIT Imaging

open access: yesMathematics
The reconstruction of the spatial complex conductivity σ+jωε0εr from complex valued impedance measurements forms the inverse problem of complex electrical impedance tomography or complex electrical capacitance tomography.
