On the Two Obstacles Problem in Orlicz-Sobolev Spaces and Applications
We prove the Lewy-Stampacchia inequalities for the two obstacles problem in abstract form for T-monotone operators. As a consequence for a general class of quasi-linear elliptic operators of Ladyzhenskaya-Uraltseva type, including p(x)-Laplacian type ...

A numerical solution of parabolic quasi-variational inequality nonlinear using Newton-multigrid method [PDF]
In this article, we apply three numerical methods to study the L∞-convergence of the Newton-multigrid method for parabolic quasi-variational inequalities with a nonlinear right-hand side.

Quasi-variational inequalities with non-compact sets [PDF]
We first generalize a foundational quasi-variational inequality which plays a key role throughout this paper by relaxing the compactness condition. Then we set up general forms of (generalized) quasi- variational inequalities and obtain a series of existence theorems without the compactness assumption.

Partial differential hemivariational inequalities
The aim of this paper is to introduce and study a new class of problems called partial differential hemivariational inequalities that combines evolution equations and hemivariational inequalities.

A QUASI-VARIATIONAL INEQUALITY PROBLEM IN SUPERCONDUCTIVITY [PDF]
We derive a class of analytical solutions and a dual formulation of a scalar two-space-dimensional quasi-variational inequality problem in applied superconductivity. We approximate this formulation by a fully practical finite element method based on the lowest order Raviart–Thomas element, which yields approximations to both the primal and dual ...

Nanothermometry in Living Cells: Physical Limits, Conceptual and Material Challenges
Heat and temperature are fundamental to life. When nanothermometers began probing regions as small as a living cell, they triggered controversial claims of large intracellular temperature gradients. We review physical constraints energy‐conservation, entropy production, thermodynamic fluctuations, and molecular dynamics.

Clean Up Behind You ‐ Novel Patterning Approach for Solid Immersion Lenses
A focused ion beam (FIB) milling strategy enables rapid fabrication of solid immersion lenses (SILs) with smooth, debris‐free surfaces eliminating the need for post‐processing. The optimized pattern improves efficiency and surface quality. SILs containing NV centers are also investigated, confirming the technique's suitability for quantum and photonic ...
